[Mk2] [NA] Valve Clearances for Rev 3 N/A

Post by Stefen »

I'm about to re-shim the valves on my N/A. I'm collecting info on what the figures are for clearance etc. and listing them for other people (As its so hard to find)!

Intake = 0.15 - 0.25 mm
Exhaust = 0.20 - 0.30 mm

I don't have the manual for the Rev 3 engine, so can anyone confirm these clearance figures?

Camshaft bearing cap torque 19Nm or 14lb/ft
Crankshaft pulley torque 108Nm or 80lb/ft
Tensioner torque 21Nm or 15lb/ft
Idler Pulley torque 42Nm or 31lb/ft

Hmmm, anything else I need?

Just got confirmation from a manual in the machine shop:

Intake = 0.15 - 0.25 mm
Exhaust = 0.28 - 0.38 mm
