Horse riding...

Spaces are limited - first come first served (and i have to confirm with the riding school today)

Snowdonia riding centre (north wales) 1.5 hour mountain hack. Equipment and horse provided ;)
Sunday 25th November at 1pm (we'll stop for an early lunch somewhere before hand, plus it will give me a good lie in!)
They will assess us, and may take more advanced people for a canter, and those more novice people won't have to worry about falling off!

Cost is £25.

Places:
1. Anna
2.
3.
4.
5.
6.

Get your name down! I'll need payment tomorrow/saturday when I see you

mr2mk1chick wrote::arrow: I found the leaflet for the Isle of Anglesey riding centre. It looks well established and well run. They mention beach rides and other hacks out, and it seems they are v close to menai bridge:

Unfortunately they have a gymkana (sp?) on, so no horses to be had there. Snowdonia riding centre is the next best - just the other side of the menai straights, and have availability and are pretty cheap but no beach riding.

Not had a chance to look up the outdoor karting - sorry!

Don't really mind either option, but more swayed to karting (but only if indoors as looks like it's going to be a wet one  )

You're not too late Jo :) the nice lady said to ring on saturday to let them know how many are coming, so i think we are almost at their capacity now, plus if anyone wants to drop out if the weather turns, you can do.

Right - i also now have the codes to get the keys from the holiday letting place, so if anyone is getting there before 5pm ish, ring me and i'll give you the code and instructions...

Which neatly leads on to... Has everyone got my mobile number?

I have now (: after rockingham when we both called limey at the same time to get each other's numbers

Right, my stuck water pump nut has finally gone, so we are on! Do I get a last minute bearding award? It was mostly sheared, and had held out under a dremel attack. The halfords mini 1/4 inch drive socket set, an extension bar and lots of plus gas finally got it. It thought either the nut's going to break or the ratchet! The sockets in that set have flat edges, really good for nuts that are a bit rounded off. Right new water pump going in..!

Excellent opportunity to say a big thanks to Anna and Kirsty,
I hope everyone has recovered from Saturday Night (I drank far too much, Ate too much Cake, and recall some antics involving Sherbet and Vodka ?

It was a Great weekend... Excellent new circuit...
Just worked out…. The Costal circuit is 1.55 Miles Long (2.49 Km), So… the 170 Km I did in the afternoon equates to around 68 Laps!! No wonder my front left tyre is looking a little sorry ;)

A Fitting end to take the car SORN in January.

Paul

PS, Those that liked that little Ipod FM Transmitter I was using for the music Saturday Night… you can get them through Ebay EG: Item number: 110188953091

Thanks everyone for a great weekend - especially kirsty for making the bol on friday - was mucho yummy.
Sorry if i was out of sorts, was slightly knocked out of kilter after the phone call from alex saying SNail was p1$$ing fuel everywhere, and he wasn't coming....

I've got some photies, but am lacking the skills to put them up yet - i'll figure it out soon!

On behalf of the MR2 Only Mag crew, myself, Andy and Karl had a great time both on the new circuit, and the social evenings, excellent bunch of folk, excellent digs, and were made to feel very welcome, sorry for those of you we corrupted with the Sherbet Vodka!! its a German thing we bring back from the Nürburgring every year!!

Disappointed not to have the mk1 repaired in time to bring along, but by the afternoon sessions I had started to get some confidence in the mk2, although it has a lot of work needed! found the Corksrew a little daunting until the afternoon, when it finally come together, by the looks of our o/s rear tyre, it was bottoming out on the rear arch in the Corkscrew!

Big thanks to those who organised the weekend, acomm and food it was excellent!! can't wait for the next one.
