Rev 5 Turbo

Post by Rosssco »

Not mine (or I wouldn't be selling it), and in the best colour....!

Price looks very good also if its in genuinly good condition... Don't see many of these around.

I expect this will be the 1st of many REV-5's entering the uk now as the early ones are coming onto 10 years old so just a simple mot and registration and the car is road legal... :thumleft:

I'm sure they wont be as rare as before, but as there wasn't as many made / sold in the later years, so there perhaps wont be the 'flood' of cars some predict...?

My experience with Torque of Keeley was a negative one.

I drove for two hours to see a Lexus RS200 that they had which was described as being in immaculate condition and fully loaded.

When I arrived I found the bodywork to be in poor condition with the stereo ripped out and bare wires hanging out.

When I asked questions about the car I was virtually ignored and refused a test drive on the grounds that I had not let him know I was coming as the salesman was working alone that day.

Incidentally I had called earlier that day to confirm the condition of the car and that a test drive would be available to me. I have also been on numerous test drives without a salesperson present in the car in the past so don;t see why it should have eben a problem.

I was quite disgusted and would not use them again.

Yeah generally their cars are pups.

Just look at the discs on the first one! Sat for ages.

I recall a friend on another club buying a Roadster from them and then having to go back cos the discs and pads were shot.

Avoid unless you're gonna have an AA inspection.

I second that. I took a mate of mine over to view a few Supras after he foolishly wrote off his Civic Type-R. All advertised as immaculate, all sh!t. Laquer peel on assorted areas of the car, wheels tatty, rear tyres down the cords  drivers seat worn through on bolsters, the list is endless. Despite this we asked to hear it running, we were refused. "Awaiting preparation sir" we were told. No sh!t Sherlock!!! They claimed the vehicle was a grade 3.5 (no chance!) and refused to show us the auction sheet claiming they had "lost it". Hmmmmmmmm.

We left.
