London Tunnel Run - 24th November 2007

Post by Lou-Lou »

Just in case anyone is interested!!

Pay through the charity website 'Just Giving' and enter your name which will add you to the list :thumleft:

******

The first MissBanzai Tunnel run

Date - Saturday 24th November 2007
Time - 7:30pm meet... The run will be setting off in groups from 8:30pm to 9pm.
Place - The O2 Dome carpark - Off of Millenium Way.

The O2
Peninsula Square
London
SE10 0DX

We would prefer people pre pay for their route maps before the night, as it means we dont need to worry about collecting cash.
For this we have set up the following www.justgiving.com/missbanzai
We will of course have a few spare maps on the night for people who have not pre paid, but these will not be guaranteed.

The price for one of our lovely maps is £4 with ALL the money going to our chosen charity.

Please dont forget when filling out your online donation to make sure you add you club name and your username. This is most important as we will have a list on the night that we will tick off as you arrive and collect your map.

If you have never done a Tunnel Run before, the aim of the night is to drive round London taking in as many tunnels as possible, and making as much noise as possible whilst going through them

We must note that the Tunnel Run is NOT a race, and MissBanzai do not condone any unsafe or dangerous driving. ;)

Please cut and paste this on any other forums that you may be a member of as all clubs are welcome.

******

We'll be organising the burger man to come down, so we can all have tea and burgers :) What more could you ask for!!

£265 raised so far for The Lymphoma Association :D

About the charity : Lymphoma Association
Every hour of every day one person in the UK is diagnosed with lymphatic cancer. Lymphoma is the seventh most common cancer, but many people are unaware of it until diagnosed. The Lymphoma Association is the only UK charity specialising in information and support for patients and their families.

If people want to come please try and get your names down on the Just Giving link and pay through that site.. that way the cash goes direct to the charity and they can claim gift aid :)

London Tunnel run 24 Nov

Post by Mad-Mark-UK »

Hi all just to let you know the lovely council who run the Blackwall Tunnel have decided to put specs cameras into the blackwall tunnel.

There is a set at the start of the tunnel and another somewhere inside but could not see them the other day only the first set.

so when you are having fun mind your speed in this tunnel and dont become another victim of the greedy gits.

Good luck all
Many Thanks

This Saturday... I'm so excited.. like a kid at Christmas!!

For any Berkshire people that fancy coming, our lot will be convoying up to the dome:

Meet at Reading Meet car park (Reading Gate Retail Park), just off J11 of the M4 at 16:30, to be leaving by 16:45 at the latest!

Starting from M4, Junction 11: Come off the motorway at junction 11 and head towards Reading Town Centre along the A33. Located in the same Retail Park as B&Q, in front of Reading Madjeski Football Stadium, which is signposted with yellow signs from the motorway. Starting from Reading Town Centre: Head towards Spencers Wood along the A33 IDR (Inner Distribution Road) until you see the yellow signs for the football stadium. Comet is opposite Acre Road and Bennett Road Industrial Estates, on the same park as B&Q.

If you need postcode for satnav.. I'd use RG2 0QG which is for the B&Q there.

Just to let everyone know:

Update!

The total raised now stands at a whopping...... £914!!!!!

Much more than the £500 target we had aimed for!

With the tax bonus we get the total is a huge £1,098.46... which is an amazing amount.
