My Rev2 Black T-Bar Turbo

Post by Olly P »

Thought I'd join in and share...

Bought my car, freshly imported, in May 2006. She looked like this:

She already had some good mods on her. Lowered springs, aftermarket LSD, Mines ECU, factory recaros, factory standard momo wheel and gear knob.

So, I had the skirts removed, added clear lenses and stuck on my 17" alloys.

Since then I've added the following:

CT20b turbo

Forge Actuator

Black AVC-R Boost controller

Berk Intercooler

Took off the Jasma exhaust and added a Mongoose. Then settled with the Berk exhaust and added one of the newer, high grade XS-Power downpipes:

Added a Helix organic racing clutch and lightweight flywheel

Added the Omori in-dash boost gauge:

Swapped the rear lights for the Rev3 ones:

Spruced up the engine bay from this:

... to this...

And now she looks like this:

I've added other parts, like removing the factory recaros and adding the half leather/alcantara interior, adding front and rear strut braces, blue samco hosing all round, £1k of ICE.

Had it dyno'd at 243rwhp / 292fwhp and 285ft.lb so she hits good figures. This was on the somewhat temperemental CT20b actuator which wasn't holding boost very well.

Now she's got the Forge Actuator and running 1.2bar I'm hoping it's as close as doesn't matter to 250 rwhp / 300fwhp.

Apart from adding some 10mm rear spacers, and colour-coding her, she's exactly how I want her.

Except perhaps for painting the alloys :-k
