Discussion and technical advice the SW20 MR2. 3S-GTE, 3S-GE, 3S-FE etc
Anything and everything to do with maintenance, modifications and electrical is in here for the Mk2.
its been done few times, it better work for the time/money/fabrication that goes into it.
Shame the yanks didnt put the development time into chargecoolers the Patrick did
Overkill springs to mind.
I think Raymond Pang ran something similar at some point.
James
i thinks its really smart althought would have gone for a different bodykit like a ppowers one, and a wing like harrys also i dont know about the front spoiler on the bonnet bit over the top although i dont doubt that it doesnt increase downforce and improve handling.
screams look at me too much, not to mention you loose what rear visibilty you had out the window, so you have all that extra power and then cant check behind you properly for coppers...brilliant

"Objects in the rear view mirror no longer matter"
The NSX on the Funky Styling stand @ Japshow had an intercooler like this, I was wondering why there weren't more MR's with something like this?
i've had a simlar idea before, still planning on implementing it. bit more aero tidy than that solution but i spose overall that setup (or at least the engine cover part of it) is lower drag than standard.
bit of an odd concept to force the air to do an 'S' bend before passing trough the cooler. but the scoop looks like it will create enough of a low pressure area over the IC to help deag air out of it at speed.
nice to see people trying out new ideas
Nice one Craig, always loved that car pretty sure a while back someone showed footage of it being scraped in a scrapyard? Could not believe it! Hats off if it was built by a private person Think it had a heat shield under the inter cooler? Good manual I/C idea though Obviously not for an every day car! lol
