[Mk2] [NA] rev2/3 steering wheel on rev1?!?

Hi, i'm looking at changing my rev1 steering and replacing it with a rev2/3 one as mine's knackered and the rev2/3 wheels look much better!
I've been searching the net and keep finding conflicting views as to whether its easy enough to swap between steering wheels.
my car's a 90 g-limited import.
Any help would be really appreciated!!!!!!

hi mate

i have just changed my rev 1 wheel to a rev 2 wheel on saturday, there is no difference in the fitting. big improvement over the rev 1

you simply undo the bolt on the underside of the wheel and pull the horn pad off. then remove the harness for the horn.
then 17 or 18mm bolt, (don t completely undo this bolt as you will need to give the wheel a good yank ) once you ve freed it then undo the bolt remove wheel, slot new one on, tighten up connect horn and centre pad bck on. 10mins at the most

ps make sure the wheels are pointing straight before you start
