replacement car

Post by ancient mariner »

good afternoon all, during my drive up to carlisle,to deliver my sonic shadow,to rossco.the realisation that i had dropped a clanger in selling it,finaly hit home.doubts had been creeping in for the 2 weeks, since i had agreed the sale, but wtf its only a car, easily replaced.so the search started.looked at gt4's, fto's,even considered a walk down the darkside, pete mk1 from the northwest, was good enough to go and look at a rev3 tubby for me in blackburn, but it wasn't the right one.i travelled to chorley to look at a low mileage supposedly mint 1994 gt4,only to find the proverbial sack of poo.looked at a few more cars.and then it dawned on me their was only one car,i could replace the sonic with.so after buying a car covered in leaves and bird crap,i have spent the last 2 days getting it something like,so heres my new baby.

Any time Paul, more than welcome up here mate.... I'm very happy with Paul's (old) car, really excellent condition, irrespective of age.

Like the old wheels eh....

Both (evil scotman mode)

Regarding the wheels, dunno what they are worth with regards to price etc. almost feel bad selling them back to you... Plus, need to find me some 16" I like before I part with these... tbh, I think they wheels are not too bad at all mate.

O, and I bought a Rev 5 spoiler (not that I can really afford it, but sh!t 'appens)

heyup marc, thinking about it,but don't fancy the idea of stripping the paint off and then polishing it.twice is enough even for me.then again the alternatives don't do a great deal for me ,so i won't discount it completely. .paul.
