Max, yep, still definitely happening. I'll talk to the guy running the event and confirm how we're going to split the groups - it looks like we've got more than enough for a single group so we may do two smaller groups, one morning one afternoon.

Hi All,

OK, given the postal strike, sending cheques around the UK to me and then from me to the folks running the skidpan isn't going to work.

Therefore, what I've agreed with them is that if you can pay a £35 deposit via Bank transfer directly to them (eg using the Bill payment facility of telephone or internet banking) and you use a reference of "SP <your name>" that will confirm your place - the £40 balance will be payable on the day itself.

I will be sending a PM shortly with the details of the account to pay the money into - if you could confirm to me when the payment has gone that would be appreciated

In terms of the day itself - as we don't have a full booking the skidpan folks will be running a single (longer) morning session as at this time we have 7 ( or possibly 8 ) people signed up. It means there will be opportunity to spectate from the side of the skidpan and use the hospitality facilities.

The timing for the day is :

9.30 for 9.45am : Arrive and meetup at Skidpan, paperwork.
10am Tuition starts
~2pm Day closes - Grab a Pub lunch or head home

OK, spoken to Stan this evening - all's set for Saturday.

He did mention that there's a rally happening in/around the old airfield that the skidpan is also based at this weekend, but that should not interfere with our event.

Plan as before - arrive 9.30 for 9.45, there should be a hot drinks machine on site. Also be prepared to spectate for a while between sessions in the FWD and RWD cars - you can watch the others on the skidpan
