I missed the first bit - i always miss the highlighted word linkage

I notice it has not made a reserve price yet. I wonder how high it will go.
It will an interesting benchmark for MK1.5's, esp one that has been so well looked after and put together, despite my reservations on the colour (but each to thier own - I have a mad colour one too...)

I guess we'll see if it makes the required 5K for any 1.5.

I have seen this car and it is uber clean, but i'm guessing the styling/colour etc is not going to be to everybody's taste, which will make it harder to sell.

I saw that car at JAE, very tidy looking as per the previous comments!

I seem to recall the air filter in the boot tho, maybe my memory is going :-k

It was purely for cosmetic reasons. Seemed a bit daft really, but err each to their own. At least its got the right engine. :+:

every thing on this car will have been "over done" and I doubt it will reach anywhere near the huge amount that has been spent on it

looks like a very well done job, just some of the styling not to my taste (reaar lights and bonnet scoop, oh and colour is a bit dodge). cars like this never fetch the money that has been thrown at them, which is a shame for the seller 'cos it usually means giving something away that they've spent endless hours and cash on, for a fraction of the price. however, this = good for the buyer lol

Yep i met Matt when he came to my house to pick up the leather door cards, Nice car & nice bloke, hope he gets what he wants for it, Truely a 'One off' car. Thats always a problem when modding any car for your own taste, what appeals to you will not always appeal to everyone else & i suppose you have to figure that in any selling price you have when it comes to sell it :-k , good luck though Matt :thumleft: , Jinxy

Styling colour etc are always personal, but hats off to him for dedicating so much time and effort on a mk1

not really a benchmark for 1.5s at all as it such a personal car to Matt..he wants to fund a new project so good luck to him.. :thumleft: possibly be just another rusting heap if he hadnt saved it with his meticulous engineering skills..oh and of course throwing out the 4AGE is always a bonus :eye:

Are you not aware of the horsepower benefits of cooling your luggage? I have heard from Max Power magazine that it is the perfect compliment to airflow sensor resistor modifications and multiple tiered rear wings for 20bhp more!

Hmmmm.. :-k Very nicely engineered car but the styling obviously appeals to a very limited market.
