Xxxx did run some cracking 10 second times (10.6 I think?)- the car in full road trim that did it was Ian Worral (blue GTS) who did a 10.7.

Best I managed was a 12.9 - but we have a problem Houston! I'll be posting more on that later...

p.s. Scott your ears must be mullered if you took those pictures of fireforce on the move!

Heard Xxxx got fastest RWD ! Whe-hey - that's 2 major 1/4 mile events that mr2s have got fastest RWD in this year - Nathan @ TOTB and now Xxxx here. With some of the Rogue cars running 10's too, i think next year is gonna be amazing for mr2's in the UK !

And a "fully clothed" mr2 running 10.7 - that's gotta be a worry to the stripped out guys. Really chuffed with the results everyone got, and really gutted i didn't make it (clutch problems on the way there Saturday morning @ 6AM)

apart from stopping every few mins and the battle to get out at the end it was a ok day out. nice to talk to few of the other mr2 owners and strip virgins. my best time was a 13.1 which where i have been all year but with the box on its last legs its time to come off the road for a major full rebuild. forged engine big turbo etc. so next year lookin for high 11s i hope. if all the twos had been in same parking spot would have been a massive collection of cars again. was good to see a lot of starlets there as well.

AFAIK i was the only running ATS cages and mine stood up to 3 launches on the launch control with micky t's.... way to much wheel spin = bad 60ft times but they still hung together.

I think its a must for the big power cars!

Again, great to see all the mr2's there. Toni - your spot on about Ian's car.... i refuse to strip mine out aswell - when i ran the 10.4 @totb everything was in.... even the sub behind the seat!!

Xxxx's car does go bloody well but i do wonder what difference it would make if mine/ians/andrews were stripped out to the extent his is??

Great day, and v lucky with the weather too!

SPEAK LOUDER. I CANT HEAR YOU!

Yes, it was a tad loud. goty home last night and my ears were ringing.

Funniest thing was a small kid who was standing next to me on its first run of the day. As it went past it was so loud the kid threw himself off of the railings!

Nathan were you racing yesterday then? The 10 second mr2 i saw was a black one with a drift wing on, I said to my mate i'm sure thats nathan but heard the announcer mention a different name.

If that was you that one rapid car you've got... it didnt half put a smile on my face seeing it lay waste to some of the big boys :thumleft:

That was me Lee :thumleft:

Was a mixed day, almost considered not running due to mis fire. But after a plug change all seemed good :)

Best part for me was staging against the blue evo on my 10.9 run..... main reason being, a very good friend of mine who supplied all the fuel lines on my car is so single minded about evo's and nothing can compare to them so when i wasted it i instantly 'muted' him! Its all a bit tongue in cheek - i guess i can be guilty too by thinking the MR2 is better than it probably is.

I've got 3 cracking photo's of me off the line, ill try and get them up later.... my next aim is to get the front wheels off the ground.... me and Andrew (spudfromengland) were bith chatting about how cool it would be to get a pic with daylight under the front wheels

When the driveshafts went on all these cars, was it the cages that were going? or the shafts themselves? Just wondering as I heard its the cages that are the weak point.

Wicked, I was pretty sure it was you..... Have you got a screamer coming out of the side scoop? I'm pretty sure i saw it flaming from the drivers side scoop 8)

It was weird when i was standing right at the top end of the track, I could here this monster on the loose and by the sounds it was making you expect a skyline or supra etc then all of a sudden it comes into view and its a 2..... fantastic :thumleft:

Make sure when you're ready to get the front end up i'm there... now i wouldnt mind seeing that :D

I'll have a look on my camera later today, see if i've got you doing a run, I'm pretty sure i have :D

Well done anyway and to everyone else.... It's always great to see these cars :thumleft:

Heres a video of the jet car
http://uk.youtube.com/watch?v=CM9M-XXbMBo

Will have alook to see if i've got any of the mr2's

The drive back was wicked, Travelling back with a group of around 10-12 modified car was awesome, The best bit was when everyone gunned it off a roundabout up a big hill that was 2 lanes... I was behind a scooby and just had to pull out and up to the side of him.... Just to show him that i could of passed him. In truth though the only reason i didnt pass was i missed my gear lol... Oh oh and the race with the skyline was fun too, I honestly didnt belive my car was that quick :D He gave me the thumbs up which i thought was nice 8)

Did anyone go and watch the drifters? The volvo that was on there was a stunner.. I'll have to pull it off the camera, Was just waiting for it to flip over lol
