[Mk2] [Turbo] Engine bay progess

Post by mr2mikey »

Well after simmo sold to me as an a1 car with a slight turbo seal leak.

i am now having to put a new engine and a completely refurbished turbo at a total cost of £1750 to me!!!

anyway - i have taken the oppurtunity to tidy the engine up
Just waiting for the new block to arrive,, then i cant get everything swapped over onto it. Thought i might as well get all the silicone measured out and test fitted onto this engine. 2 small hoses at the back of the inlet 2 to do but will leave tat for when the engine is out.
Just got to wait for coolant hoses now !
So will just be a case of new block in, and then get everything cleaned up.
Should hopefully look special when done.

Best of luck with the rebuild Mike. The engine bay looks good in the pics. Gold is a different colour but I like the way it turned out...

Is this the place where I defend my good name!!!

I don’t understand where you’re coming from, why have you had to rebuild the engine you checked it over for like 30min, test drove it and you said yourself it was sound!

I read a post you were saying that 2 garages had seen my car and said it was crap!! I have only ever had one garage to have a look at it so don’t understand that one may be someone else is telling fibs here!!.
Also you knew about the turbo and I gave you a replacement turbo in the sale for like 60 quid!!

Not to mention the compression test i and done for you

p.s it was never sold in A1 condition hence 2200 which was way off the sale price

I rest my case

Good night

i Youknow you told me the turbo was fine now and then the garage has told you the engine was in good knick - with a test of 147 psi - i think not

You had basically been told from what i can gather the car was on its last legs and sold up!

im nt one for holding grudges, but the way you just lied to my face!!!

How can giving me another turbo you quote " im selling it for a mate from his old car he needs to sell it and said i would see if you wanted it as i wont have an mr2 any more" - hows that saying your turbo is knackered when you lied to my face and said it was just the grade of oil you had been using? And nothing showed up on the test drive because you KNOW it didnt start to smoke until after 20 mins or so and onlty after a hard boost - and you conviniently took me on a route where i couldnt boost hard!!!

it was sold in a1 mechanical conditon - the only bits you said it would need is the skirts and the front end needed doing -which was again a lie - those skirts had clearly never been on that car accroding to my workshop with out 1/4 tonne of filler - so again another lie.

And why would 2 garages get in touch with me on the forum aying you had been in touch with them?

im not normally a nasty person ian, and would not say anythin untrue about someone - but you did lie to me severly about this car.

Now im sorry i left you negative feedback but i was fumming

This is the last i will say on this matter as i just want to move on

thanks

Mike
