We tend to go out on the slightly infamous Northants runs as often as we can and are quite surprised the amount of interest our little MK1's generate 8) There are a few of the Northants regulars going on the Beds run, but we can't make it due to other commitments.

BaT just put an email out hoping to free up more spaces for us/other reserves.

Harry, perhaps you would like to update your BaT profile with car type

Spoke to Johnny and Oulton is full too, so I guess I'll have to go to drive at Rockingham then ;) (Look out for TNB antics, long range forecast says the weather is going to be wet....)

They can't get the 24 hour forecast right, 2 weekends away is highly unlikely to be correct.

I hope it's dry as I've a dry setup on at the moment :(

I will be working Oulton tomorrow so in a sense it's a shame it's full too, but glad you're still on for Rockingham :thumleft:

You need to book Angers in Nov anyway. Looks like it might be another MR2 weekender. The last two have been awesome 8)

Activities are booked - there is the chance to squeeze more people on if anyone wants to come play last minute

There is also still accomodation available if anyone is lucky to get a reserve place.

Anyone not doing acc (if you're too local etc) - how about coming over on Saturday night to meet up at the chalets and have a good ole social ;) The more the merrier :)

When are people planning on turning up? I've got the Friday off work, but there wouldn't be much point heading down if I'm going to be by myself ;)

Anna, what's the name of the place we're staying at? LE16 9UJ looks like it's the middle of a field according to Google Maps (less amusing if you use the satellite view and can see the road and buildings there though :P )

Im leaving work at 4:30pm, heading home for shower n stuff then up to Redditch area for Simarshy and then travelling over. So.. assuming Simarshy is organised and is ready to go when I get there, then we'll be there about 9 - 10pm.

So probably see ya about 2am then. :D

Link to the accomodation place. Found it by googling with the postcode and "accomodation".

Yep - it's brook meadows:

Me and Alex will head over for about 7/8, and will probably get food and eat it there if anyone wants to join in. Will probably bring the Wii too :)

I've just managed to acquire one of these - http://www.driftbox.com/ for the weekend (for some reason we've got one at work...).

Obviously laptiming is out, but could we still use the data logging part? Could be vaguely interesting to stick it in a few peoples' cars and then see what lines etc they're taking once the day has finished. Suppose it might not be that interesting at all, but it's another toy to play with anyway :)

I'm not 100% but I don't think BAT would like to see a driftbox in the windscreen as they do time.

It would be interesting though.

That's my concern too, of course it only times if you put it in timing mode and give it a start / finish point though :)

I guess because timing is one of it's primary functions (unlike a video camera) and it can do it automatically (unlike someone with a stopwatch) they might not like it. I'll ask before I stick it in a car anyway.

What time is everyone meeting up at the circuit then on the Sunday? I presume we drive in the main entrance and we'll be directed to where we are going to get to the track area? Hope its better organised than when we were there for the WRA thing when there was just no signs or anything leading people the way...

Also what do we need to bring with is in terms of booking confirmations or owt? Or will driving licence suffice?

Forecast looks to be dry for the day at least atm  I really dont think id be very competent/confident in the wet

Driver briefing will be at 9:00am - so you'll need to be there before 9am in order to sign on. There will be other people around so you'll know where to go, and what paddock area we will be using. I imagine we'll be on the inside of the circuit behind the pit garages somewhere.

You probably won't need your driving license, but wouldn't hurt to bring it anyway (you *have* to have it if you are driving at Snet, Cadwell, Brands, Silverstone, Oulton, any of the Palmer circuits).

I'm hoping for some rain tbh, Mk1s are better in the wet

Looks like it will be a busy day, hope not too many people (that is cars) on the track at a time. Rain - I hope it's dry, cause it's too slippery in the wet over there...
