1993 GT-Turbo T-Bar silver 64,000miles

Post by estrnc »

hey guys

my pride and joy is officially up for sale, having only owned it for just over 6 months!! :( moving house and need the cash unfortunately.

1993 K reg metallic silver/grey
T-bar
GT model inc. Traction, air, climate, EM, EW, ABS etc.
64,000 Miles
imported in 2000
serviced regularly
runs perfectly, boosts without hesitation
Stock standard besides 17" Lexus wheels and HKS mushroom filter.
includes brand new Blaupunkt SD card head unit
skunk2 shift knob, personal steering wheel

good bits:

all discs and pads replaced 5 months ago, as were showing signs of old age. new handbrake cable done, new front shocks (old ones were leaking a bit, nothing major but it was done anyway). full service done at this time, came to a painful £1892, but it needed to be done, and wanted it to be perfect. all reciepts were retained.

bad bits:

front bumper is in a bit of a state with scratches and chips. has been replaced due to a minor frontal impact by previous owner (was reg'd cat D by insurance co. cosmetic damage ONLY, no damage to car itself) but obviously not resprayed properly. I've been quoted £100 to remedy this.

passenger wing mirror has been knocked off. some f**kers did this while I was at the cinema. it's all there, just needs reattaching and some new screws.

radiator was patched up just before I bought it. sprung a small leak, however it's been fine in the 6 months I've owned it and I'd imagine it'll be fine for the foreseeable future.

thats it. I've been as honest as I can, besides the usual arm wear on the seats this car is immaculate. NO rust anywhere, NO dents anywhere. bodywork besides the front is damn near perfect. car handles perfectly, stops perfectly, goes like a rocket.

really sorry to see this go, after only owning it for such a short time, but as I said I need the cash!!

sensible offers around the £3000 mark.

I'm based just outside Edinburgh.

apologies for late photos, only just got a chance to get them up. unfortunately the bad bits don't show up on photos. they are quite small, but bug me!!! paint peeling from toyota badge at front. (it's been sprayed over in the car's colour) small crack on bottom lip as well. fogs were installed at one point, but removed again. as I said, i've been quoted £100 to have this done properly. it's one of those things you put off, and it never gets done!!

Usually colour 187 are hard to come by in Rev3 form but a fair few in the Rev2 are about - strangely there are half a dozen of them on the 'Trader atm which is unusual as I keep my eyes open for them.

IMHO they look a little odd without the two tone strip down the side in such a pale colour. I shall learn how to suffer it if I find one though.

Yours is identical in spec to my last tubbie (down to the FF traction control) except for the imprint of a bus in the drivers side door ](*,)

I'm looking for a rev3 atm but if you've still had no joy by the end of the month I may well be tempted as a second car. :-k

Funilly enough I still have the nose cone and passenger wing mirror from mine in immaculate condition! Hmmmmmmm....double temptation :/
