revision 2, so about 220bhp at the fly wheel. Would be good going if a 14 year old car is still making that though.

Agreed. Sounds like a Rev2.

Most Rev2s put out between 190 and 210bhp.

K reg's are all rev2

1993 did produce rev3s but only for 2 months - so it's quite a small gap.

Even an L reg can still be a rev2 (3 month gap)

Are you talkin power at the hubs???? You won't lose 30bhp in 15 years unless the engine is kaput!!

Aggghhh do a search, so many posts relating to identification of the different revisions... Rev 3's look prettier :eye:

Oh and has been said I'd be surprised to see a standard rev1/2 make 200hp (fly) today... Not saying they're bad cars or anything, its just what happens to engines in general over more than a decade of usage :thumleft:

Why are people talking as if the rev1/2's are ancient and the rev3's are much newer. There was only 4 years between the first rev1s and rev3s, unless the low rev's were more prone to loss of power over time its unfair to say a rev1/2 has lost 20 bhp over the years and a rev3 wouldnt have lost anything.
