I had a set of toms skirts and a greddy front lip from Dave fully painted. The fitment and quality were spot on, everything lined up perfectly, can't fault it.

It did take a little bit longer than I was originally quoted but Darryn kept me up to date. Once ready Dave delivered the parts to me personally because he was out and about in my area and dropped them in for me, good stuff.

Darryn,

Not going to open up an argument again (this post is just feedback and not a "dig") and you're never going to have a 100% record -that's just my experience.

I made my case originally and sent plenty of photos as I did the work. The material could have shrunk (rather significantly) post removal from the mould (that was my suggestion to you guys initially) but pretty much all I got from Dave was "fitted perfectly down here" which didn't help me any.

I'm just SO glad I never got any parts painted before they were delivered. Afraid I'd buy somewhere else before I bought Neos again for a comparison.

Many folk compliment the kit now it's on but it took WAY too much additional work to fit.

I'm really glad there is a proper feedback section now so buyers can make an educated choice on suppliers based on others experiences.

Experiences with Neo's Design ... well i paid £325 for a Toms rear bumper painted carribean blue back in February and still not seen it!

Many emails and phone calls have been made but i have never recieved a straight answer as to when i will get it!!! Just that there is a bumper sitting in the body shop waiting to be painted! How many other people have recieved Tom's bumpers since then?

Communication was excellent prior to recieving the payment and then obismol since!! Good to see that once the money is taken, the order is forgotten about!!

Looking to sell the car very shorty so its pretty pointless having the bumper now!! Will i get a refund? I very much doubt it!!

And to add to that, i sent my fuel cap cover along for color matching and am yet to see that either!! Was told, "It won't be more than a week before you will have your cap cover back!"

A complete joke!!

p.s dave is there anychance i will get the parts you still owe me(standard wings/toms scirts/genuine toms winglets)i see you are still very busy but i think it would be a very nice gesture to fiannly fullfill our original agreement.

thanks in advance

p.s.s darryn not sure what happened really one minute we seem to be getting on ok, then you suddenly stopped answering my emails/calls etc :( . if i upset you in anyway then i am very sorry as that was the last thing i wanted to do, anyway good luck for the future mate and take care.

chippy

I purchased the orginal TOM's skirts that were on chippysmr2t car. They were in a terrible state. Dave took a mould from the skirts and totally wrecked them...repaired with thick fibreglass laid over newspaper, body filler and wood screws???

Dave says they should have never been fitted back onto chippysmr2t car...but why spray them and fit them on?

I'm still out of pocket for those skirts, chippysmr2t kindly said i could have the replacements owed to him.

When contacting Dave via email he denied the poor quality of repair and said he had photos to prove it (i never got to see them), he even threatened me with legal action if i didnt drop the whole thing.

Darryn who was fine with me also stopped answering my PM's and emails, even blocked me on MSN.

If chippysmr2t is owed skirts then they are mine.

I have photos of the repair work but can't post them up due to Dave threatening legal action for slander.

How many times do I need to keep replying to this one.. #-o ](*,) The Tom's skirts that you baught of chippy, are what is called 'Plugs' for use in tool/mould making. These where used to make moulds from & as such, are heavily strenthend etc for this purpose etc. The Tom's side skirts that are now being sold, fit perfectly & they only do so because of all the hard work I put into them in the 1st place as Chippys skirts was rubbish, which isnt shown in the pic's of them on his car, when he dropped it off to me, Chippy was told that & they had been very quickly painted/blown over so he could drive his car etc. He was also told that they where to be put in the bin, once new units arrived & not for resale. He has sold them to you, so your issue is with him!!!

Dave

PS, I dont normally get into a public slanging match but you lot are only giving 'One side to your story!'

I had good dealings with Dave to be honest,
I ordered bomex Skirts & front lip, really good fit not 100% but you would only get that if they were factory fit. I did however have quite a wait for them but was compensated & communication over all was good. Would deffinately buy parts of Dave again.

Thanks

Now chippy has mentioned his experiance I felt it was worth mentioning and has given the chance for you to have your say.

Chippy clearly still has unresolved issues with you that you are ignoring.

Everyone have a read of this thread

http://www.imoc.co.uk/forums/viewtopic. ... 14&start=0

Do chippys repairs look rubbish to you?

Oh and like i said i never got the photos you said you had taken showing the state of the skirts before you repaired them!

You also say they were suppose to be binned when the new units were in...so why did he never get the new units? He is still owed parts

Rich, please be aware this is a general thread to convey experiences of traders. Of course both good and bad experiences are welcome but any specific and complex issues should be targeted at the trader in question, not blown up on this thread - it justs gets messy.

If you or anyone else still has issues please contact him directly to resolve them. As moderators we will obviously try and help where we can.

My own personal experiences of Dave are positive.

I have now bought 3 items and all were very good quality and fitted well. The delays were frustrating though but all's well in the end. I do believe he is now getting on top of the backlog of orders so I hope he continues to do so.

I do know that if Dave didn't sell body parts, I would still have a stock exterior.

In all due respect Leeroy I think this is a good place to discuss it.

I'm trying to help Chippy get whats owed to him so I can get what I want.

Dave, Darryn and Chippy himself didnt want to help me out and wanted nothing to do with it anymore. The member I purchased them off would only give me a refund if i returned the skirts in good order...which is not possible because my bodyshop stripped them back and they fell apart.

I'm angry because I'm a good £200 out of pocket, if IMOC admin wish to help me out I'm more than happy to let them because I have been ripped off big time. Its even more serious if chippy sold them onto the person I purchased them from knowing they should not have been sold.

Please feel free to PM me if you dont want me to discuss it further on here but like i said any help regarding my issue would be greatly appreciated.

I agree with you Rich, although I was just concerned things would go sour, very quickly. There's a point where individual experiences can be such that voicing them on here will help neither party, IYSWIM.

PM on its way...

well i hate to drag up the past..........but it needs to be said!

i dont believe for one minute that chippy was told they where plugs!

reason why???? i purchased his vented wings and bomex scoop, both where awfull fit! actually scoop went in the bin! as per my first post!

i contacted darryn about the fit (because of being advertised as spot on)
and was basically told there had been an ongoing arguement between dave and chippy! as to which dave THREW his car together to get rid of him!

do i have proof? yep,the pm is still in my inbox! admin are more than welcome to view if they think im not telling the truth!

unfortunetly i have deleted the pm though. #-o

Chippy's front wings are the Replikit items which were Darryns, which I didnt use to make my moulds from. Chippy bought these very cheaply from me & he knew full well what manufacturer they are from. About time you got your facts right mate.. :^o
