I don't want to drive it now as it will get dirty

What did your mate do exactly?

wash & dry with cold water hose / two bucket method & sheepskin mitt
claybar & detailer spray
portercable with Poorboys SSR polish (this took around 5 hours !!)
clear glaze
wax
wheels and tyres cleaned and protected
windows cleaned and treated
black trim cleaned

In all took around 9 hours, but the results are stunning

Mates rates was a very reasonable £60 for 9 hours' work

and he supplied all the materials (except water!)
