Cambridge mini meet, sunday afternoon.

Post by HighwayStar »

Hey all.
Following on from the the thread in spotted shall we organise the above for a sun afternoon fairly soon while we still have a chance for good weather and before I make the move to Hertfordshire (bird wants to see more of me... I've already told her I get naked as often as I can!) ?

Any suggestions for dates or dates people can't make?

This coming weekend is good for me, I can't make it the weekend after, (mother is visiting for the weekend), but after that I am good :)

I can do this Sunday (2nd Sep), but not the following 2 Sundays.

If everyone's cool with Granchester I think that's a great location.

If Sundays are going to be tricky should we consider another school night?

The only reason Sundays were suggested was to allow photos to be taken/maybe go for a drive somewhere :)
I am also up for pretty much any evening apart from Wednesdays.

I could probably make it along to either a weekday evening or weekend afternoon meet.

BTW Rob, who do you use for MOTs? I'm booked in at a placed called ASAP on Stukeley Road, fingers crossed they're decent.

Heya mate.
I use S&G in Godmanchester on Roman Gate Industrial Estate. They've looked after the basic stuff on mine for a while now.. no probs come MOT time.
01480 399399 and ask for Maria, she'll sort you out.

How do people feel about an eve next week or even thur/fri this week? Only day I couldn't do is Mon.

Thanks, I'll keep my appointment with ASAP but I'll bear S&G in mind in the future. I'm also going to Huntingdon Performace Tyres for some new rears - I was impressed that they were cheaper than Blackcircles and eTyres.

Thu/Fri could be short notice for some, Tsunami said they can't do Wednesdays, you can't do Monday, so how about next Tuesday?

Tues sounds OK to me mate.
By the way try Cole & Day in somersham for your rubber. I tried everyone local a few mths ago when I got my toyos and they were cheapest by a mile. Plus they do know what they're doing when fitting, unlike many...

I've used ASAP for servicing on my Civic for the last 7 years! They've gone from being a really great garage to just a good one. Their customer service is excellent, but I think that they have just become too busy in the last couple of years and they keep putting their prices up.

re: the mini meet. I could probably make most week nights. Best to just choose a night and stick to it :thumleft:
I take it we're still all good for the Red Lion in Granchester? I may even get dinner there with the missus.

Right! Tues night it is, 7pm. I may aim to get there by 6.30 so if anyone wants to aim for the same time that'll be great. Light is OK at 7 (I'm looking out the window now at 7) but the earlier the better.
So who's coming?

Yes I'll be there, barring any emergencies (MOT on Tuesday ). I'll try to arrive a bit before 7.
