I've never even spoke to you SystemG so I don't have your email address other than this way.

I personally don't see a problem with this, its 1 email, it’s not like the system was calling you at 1am getting you out of bed. I get about 40 spam emails a day and I just press delete, which I feel you should have done if not interested, do you feel the need to email and report every email you receive that’s of a generic nature or am I mistaken and this is the first ever generic email you’ve ever received?

You say this isn’t a witch hunt, but I feel you’ve only posted this to cause trouble yet again for me, despite you sending me an abuse email which I explained why and how you were emailed and apologised if you were offended, I also removed your address at your request, so why did you feel the need to continue this futher on another forum apart to try and discredit futher?.

I mean come on, do you threaten to report Tesco's for sending advertising letters through your door every time you get a local paper?

Some people’s mentality never ceases to amazes me.

Tim

Tim,

I think you are full of BS and everything you have posted here is complete fabrication.

As neither myself or my girlfriend have visited your site, their is no chance you obtained our email adresses through your database. End of.

Neither of us even knew yyou had an online shop. We heard rumours of a forum, but never visited as we have nothing to offer or gain by this.

As previously requested in emails, please provide proof of your database.

Secondly I really do not apreciate your abusive tones in the email responses to my girlfriends queries. This is what prompted me to take the actions I did.

If you are happy with it, I can post your responses?

Thirdly, I see this as another backhanded attempt of getting back in with the 3SGTE comunity you so rightly and royaly eff'd up a couple of months ago by your own doings.

I can now see why IMOC, GT4OC MR2OC and other forums decided to take the action they did.

My email link is on my profile so I can offer help to people who need it or if people want to contact me off the forum with something car related, but if you took the time, you'd have seen neither my girlfriend or myself have nothing in common with the 3SGTE at the moment and you wouldn't have waisted your time and now ours. Also we certainly don't expect any abuse from other forum members.

Is not obtaining members contact details from forums to promote your own forum/online shop a breach of terms and conditions?

Again, please send me proof of our details on your database.

Not to point out the obvious but your e-mail address is at the bottom of the page on any post you make. #-o

If you dont want to be sent e-mails by anybody, dont put it on a public forum. :thumleft:

Oh and cheers Tim for the e-mail, wasn`t aware you were starting another forum. Competition is always good for the customer.

Strange then why neither of us get other spam email through the forums... :?

As said before I don't mind being contacted via the email links. I just don't expect things to get abusive.

And I'm sure if I had a MKII tubby, I might be interested in Tims products, but currently I don't have a want or need for either.

Being a member of many forums i get a "feel" for each one much like most people old and new, what i can say about this whole continued saga (whoevers responsible) is that its creating a negative feel about imoc which needs addressing immediately, we are losing members over this im sure, and in a few other forums i frequent there have been recent threads finger wagging and degrading of imoc, the whole thing is getting way out shape and a tadge disturbing.

Can the commitee please consider the best way to put all this playground nonsesense to bed because from both a membership and trader angle its all got a little tasteless.

Cheers

James, we try and we continue to try to put the whole Tim saga behind us. However whenever we think we are getting there something else seems to pop up that is (as usual) beyond our control. We have nothing whatsoever to hide and we have maintained this throughout. It is not us that is emailing members after all.

We have already been through the spamming of our members with Tim and as far as we knew we thought this had stopped and would leave it at that. However, this seems not to be the case. We are not the ones carrying this on after all.

The inherent problem with the internet and forums in general is that a lot of hearsay and untruths tends to go around. All we can hope for really is for it all to come out in the wash eventually.

Lauren, when you say about spamming you are talking about a few select PM's to friends on this forum inviting them to a new community. There’s nothing wrong with this but i have respected your feelings and not done it on your site because of the "advertising" rules you have set.

So that’s why I sent out a newsletter through my site. This doesn't involve Imoc at all and I see no reason why it should be on this site. Regardless of what SystemG is trying to make out I have no access to Imocs mailing lists and you’d not give me access to them, so I don’t see the point in the allegations

As far as systemG is concerned he’s obviously someone with a very boring life if he feels he has to do this, If you want to post emails I don't mind, you'll find my first email was very friendly and welcoming, where the email I received from yourself and your partner were very abusive and threatening from the offset, 1st reply's from you were talking about reporting me etc etc.

I’ve got original copies of all emails so don’t think about editing them to make yourself look better as reading back most people think this is just stupid and yet again bringing this club even lower in reputation.

Wined your neck in and get a life!

I hear you Lauren.

Trading from the forums by any means or methods is always walking a tightrope due to the amount of keyboard warriors and misslead amoung us.

Im sure it will all wash out given time, i just cant help thinking the tough decission to stop Tim trading on imoc needed to be backed up by some futher policy to prevent this playground backstabbing. Its making some very good people look silly and imoc's good name tainted.

I have had to make some tough decissions which i knew would come back to haunt me for a short while, but its better to take it on the chin in the short term in order to find a conclusion to matters.

Im finished on this subject now and can see/understand all the points of view concerned, but am expressing my concern as a payed up member/trader that the situation is getting VERY silly indeed.

What by sending a newsletter out to people subscribed to my website...........I can't be held responsible if they forgot visiting :(

There email address were removed at there request, so i don't see the problem. I also apologised, let’s just drop it yeah.

I've told you where there email address came from, but if you don't believe me why not tell me where I got it from because I’d also like to know? I guess anyone could have used your email address seeing you've displayed it all over each post.

The problem is Tim, System G and Mr2chick have no reason to lie over this. Calling them idiots and blaming their atttitude in your return emails, is just bonkers. Surely you should realise that some people don't appreciate unsolicited emails. If they told you that they didn't sign up to your website, why question that?

In all honesty i just think you are making yourself look bad. Maybe just saying sorry to those two in the first place and leaving it at that would have been the best and most professional course of action.

I did apologise, I also wasn't the first one sending abusive emails over something so silly. I mean come on drop it.

I'm not questioning it, i know its true because i saw where the return link came from, also found there email address as i removed them at there request.

Why would i lie?

I feel you have once again over-stepped your boundaries as you did in the MR2 and GT4 comunities and further alienating yourself and your business.

Not only have you spammed me, but also my partner - neither of which have a use for your products or your forum.

thats the emails.

I think you'll see i did apologise if they found it offensive, I also wasn't the person who started with the abusive emails. i don't exspect to have 2 people gobbing off because of 1 email. And then to post it all up over another forum which has absolutly nothing to do with that forum is just pathetic.

If the above are the original un-edited emails then Tim, you have the right to be annoyed. BUT, dude please stop getting emotionally involved. I've joined your new forum and it's great - a welcome addtion to IMOC for all my MR2 advice.

My advice, Tim (and I say this with the utmost respect) would be to conduct ALL correspondance with anyone in a 100% professional way: you are representing a business after all. Even when you're not in the wrong, it might just be wiser to except defeat for the sake of your long term reputation.

From what I've gathered, the people who you've helped - including me - in some way (minor advice to full on work) have nothing but 100% praise for you. This is admirable.

Don't let the witch hunters get you down. This thread is a witch hunt. Ignore them, Tim :thumleft:

I don't believe this is Trader feedback because T. B devloopments is not an IMOC trader.
