Trackday Teesside Autodrome 27th August

Post by MR-S Turbo »

Anyone fancy doin a track day at Teesside Autodrome on the 27th August (BH monday) 8am - 5pm

Its £75 a car for approx 2-3hrs driving

There will be groups where similar cars run together (saloons, kit cars etc)

James Wilson is organising it (07960031400) Ring for more info. If you ring mention Julie and he will know what your on about.

So check out ebay where theres a few spaces for sale:
http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Teesside-Autodrom ... dZViewItem

http://jwmotorsport.com

Noise limit for the track is 103 dB

And also there is drift practice on afterwards from 6pm to watch.

Interested in this - especially as according to their website the circuit seems OK with passengers under 16, so I could possibly take my son out :thumleft: ( he's 12, but already taller than his mother  )

Pete,

£75 is a bit steep for a small circuit and for only a couple of hours ? 103DB is no good for the TVR... I do that on idle !!

...looks like £20 for additonal drivers as well as passengers.... They say...

"Any additional Drivers other than assigned to the car will be charged at £20."

Hmmmm.

I would go - but I don't have a track car

I think its run as sessions in the morning, and maybe open pit in the afternoon. Anyway you only get 2 - 3 hours actual driving at any trackday

Most circuits are 95dB - 98dB, so this counts as a 'noisy' one :thumleft:

No idea how many are attending, though I think only 3 places sold through ebay. Could mean not much traffic on track :D

Just got home - cracking day and a real giggle of a circuit. Good to meet up with MR-S Turbo and MR2MK1MAD - looking forward to seeing your pics :thumleft:

The track - we were using the road round the outside - what the map doesn't show is the sharp right/left/right complex at the left side is uphill for the first bit then crests then downhill for the second right - dead easy to get the back end loose in 2nd in the left hander

Here's a couple I took in the paddock - just to whet a few appetites ( AE86 anyone :D - sadly not driving at the trackday, but there for the drift practice afterwards )

And another one

And this little beast wasn't quite as quick as I'd have expected it to be :-k ( yes, it's a real one, complete with V6 engine )

More pics and videos to follow later in the week 8)
