Half day split between 2? No way you will get satisfied =P~
Just had a day there last Monday, I like this circuit even more now, even though I managed to land in the gravel once. Definitely a good track to test your car cornering behaviour. 8)

Hey Turbo-G

Your welcome to have a passenger ride in my car. I'm currently running superstreets and as we have a similiar power output it will give you an idea of the difference.

Team MR2 Only are up for this, finally have chance now to think ahead a bit, will check diary and how the other guys are fixed over the weekend and confirm, certainly planning to book for the trackday on Sunday (we have now have a back up Mk2 track car for when Russell (Hobbs) our Mk1 overheats!) I know me, Anna and Andy might fancy the quads on The Saturday as well so will check our finances and see if we can stretch to that and staying over the night.
Also have a friend I brought along to Donnington with me who now has a rev 1 Turbo as a track toy that might want to come along with us too :thumleft:

Excellentay ;)

I'll be looking to get some names for the activities on Saturday soon.

Current plan is to go with 1 hour quad biking, 1 hour off roading, and clay pidgeon shooting at the moment to fill the afternoon.

Unless others want to do other things? (if so - speak now!)

Activities:
Quad bikes
4WD (in their LR's)
Off road race buggies
Amphibious vehicles
Clay pidgeon shooting
Archery
Blindfold driving
Digger driving
Paintballing (more an afternoon event on it's own i think)

Current plan in red - you don't have to be doing the trackday to do this - so if you're up for it, let me know!

Anna is the current pricing still relevant?
Depending on uptake, they have available 4x4 off roading (in their vehicles, not your '2 ), quad bikes, amphibious vehicles, off road race buggies, clay pidgeon shooting, paintballing). Prices dependent on activity, but an afternoon's worth will be approx £80, or a single activity is approx £40 (again dependent on activity)

ie:- would it be £80 for all three or is there a revised price please? Im just looking at the difference between the £40 x 3 = £120 and the £80 for an afternoon PLUS also hoping that it might be a bit cheaper with a few of us going.

It should be £80 ish for three highlights (quads, 4x4 and clay pidgeons) - i'll need to confirm it with the bods as that's based on the last time i spoke to them - and will need at least 4/6 peeps for minimum numbers
They price per head, so it's difficult to add numbers to bring the price down (if that makes sense)

Add your name if you reckon you are pretty sure you want to do it (3 activities - quad, 4x4, and clay pidgeon shooting @ circa £80):

Add me down for the day's worth of events please anna.

There is a good chance I'll be bringing someone else along who'll want to do the events aswell, I just need to confirm he's ok for somewhere to stay at night.

I'm not looking for race pace I just want to go quick without getting Banned for the fourth time thanks

In terms of getting you on track, you will need to wear clothing that covers your legs and arms (long sleeved top and trousers), and you will need a helmet. If you don't have a helmet, you can hire one from bookatrack - it's an option when you sign up.

As for prep for your mr2 - it's always worth giving it a check over before trackdaying it - check all the levels, bleed the brakes (and possibly be prepared to bleed your brakes again after the trackday so take that stuff with you). Check all the suspension bushes (usually can jack the car up, and give it all a good tug to see if there is any suspicious play) - if your car is an everyday driver, you will probably know if there are any unaccounted for 'clonks'.
Make sure the tow eyes are ok on your car - mk1's need to watch for rust, and mk3's need to screw them in (i think?) as it will be needed if you break down on track.

Check your tyres - if they are getting towards illegal, it might be worth giving bookatrack a shout as they can bring new ones along to fit during or after the track work.

If it's going to rain, it might be worth Rain x'ing you windscreen, and checking your wipers work ok (mk1's are usually a PITA above 50mph at clearing as they lift...)

I'm sure there is more... but I'm also sure others will come and add to this ;)

Oh - instruction - always worthwhile for newbies, and those who have been to a few - get yourself booked in - it's only £20.

Also - some details on the BaT site:

Anna,

Is there any halfday slots left? I'd like to just do PM but I can't find it mentioned on the BAT site, just in this thread.

Yep there are - you book as you would for the full day, and it's given as an option in the list where you can book helmets etc (right at the bottom). So you have to click through on the £199 bit first...

I hope that makes sense - if you have any problems, pm me.

But more importantly...

THERE ARE ONLY 9 SPACES LEFT ON THE TRACKDAY! Get booking if you want to come :)
