Just need to be a bit patient Jo MR2MK1Chick is now on the case so hopefully the world will get MK1 silicon hoses soon
won't be samco but I believe every bit as good quality

Re: Silicone hose kit - any available?
Any progress on this Jo?
I could do with a set of these, is there anything any of us can do to assist you with getting this kit off the ground?

Anyone know if Mk1a/b have different hoses?

Re: Silicone hose kit - any available?
I was going to talk to you Jo about those sample hoses we gave to you last year, as we had a word with the guys on the Samco stand at JAE also another stand that was making silicone hoses
& they told us that if we supplied him with samples of all the hoses then he would look to see if they have any current hoses with all the correct bends etc that would fit, if any hoses need to be made up then it would get expensive

Re: Silicone hose kit - any available?
I am in a very good position to get these hoses made up, I have the necessary contact who is very willing to do the work and is keen to expand the companys product range.

As a result I am certain I can negotiate some discounted kits.
This is any colour as well, not just Samco blue

I have been trying to get hold of some OEM hoses which I can send to him for tooling purposes, if anyone has a set of hoses they can spare then let me know.
For who ever donates the hose kit I would arrange for that person to get a set at cost price if they wanted it, I am sure the company would do it.

The company in question does work for F1
/ WRC
/ Touring car etc so the quality is top notch.

I presume the hoses dont change by Mk1 and Mk1b?

Cheers

James

Part no's for Hoses 4, 5
& 6
(the two front radiator ones, and the larger passenger side rear one) are different for Mk1a/b

But are they different though?
Toyota tend to do this a lot, varying PT numbers for parts but they are actually still the same.
Has anyone had a mk1a
& and mk1b out to be able to compare?

Can you also list the hoses you guys were expecting to see in the kit?
IIRC the coolant kits for the SW20 are just engine hoses
(located in the engine bay) and dont include the hoses that run under the car or into the top of the rad.
Its no issue including these but understandably it will the cost of the kit
(as its more comprehensive).

If I can get the kit sent over so he can at least price it up then we have a starting point and people can decide if its what they would pay.
As I dont know what you guys were thinking a kit would cost?

I have kindly been offered a set of hoses to use, I will need to check if they are for mk1 a or b.
As I dont know the difference myself can someone tell me what the change over point was for a and b cars?

Jo, will get back to you shortly.

Can anyone let me know what hoses your expecting in the kit, I have the opportunity to get hold of all the nessesary hoses for the mk1, but need to know what hoses
/ how comprehensive a kit people wanted.

Re: Silicone hose kit - any available?
As many as possible!

The most expensive Toyota ones are the large ones under the car
(~£100 each!), so these are certainly worth doing.
They're also the ones that tend to be perished at the ends.
The engine bay ones should be done as you can see these

So, the 5 in this picture:

and the 5 in this picture:

Don't care what it costs, it'll be cheaper than new ones from Toyota!

Thanks,
Jon

I agree, the more hoses the better.
the ones on the diagrams look good.

I suppose these ones would be easy to add, as they're just straight lengths of hose?
