Thornfalcon car meeting, Hatch Beauchamp, nr Taunton. Septmeber 16th

Every year Thornfalcon Car sales hold, what started out as, a classic car meeting in Hatch Beauchamp in September.

I have been going for years now, but it has some what evolved into a car meeting for cars that are out of the ordinary. TVR normally have a club pitch as do the Porsche owners club. Last year the big Aston Martin dealership from Exeter brought up a DB9 and a V8 Vantage for display. There is also a big presence of what can only be considered as "modern classics", cars from the 80's or newer that are special and above the run of the mill. Last year nearly 800 cars turned up in total, which as I understand it makes it one of the largest informal meetings in the country. It doesn't cost anything, all you have to do is turn up.

Anyway, I shall be going along as normal and I wondered if any of you guys fancied coming along. If you fancy it we could go for a drive afterwards and maybe get something to eat somewhere.

Will not be able to make it this year as am working in Newcastle

Can confirm that it is a good meet as last year there were the same mk1 gang (we three know who i am talking about) and we had another four turn up which was great for this part of the country
