374BHP mr2 for £5500!

Post by nutter »

Well the time has come to sell part with my MR2 , I’ve decided to look into kit car ownership so need the room!

’93 Rev 2 GTS turbo, finished in nuvelo blue (Alfa Romeo pearlescent blue). Taxed until the end of August (although I will renew it before it runs out) and MOT’d until mid September (again I will renew before it runs out). I have nearly £25K invested into this car. More or less every moving part on this car has been replaced with either oem or uprated parts. Check out the Spec below. Recently retuned at Perfect Touch to produce 374BHP at the flywheel, it’s pretty quick :) .

Unfortunately the paintwork lets this car down, I caught the splitter some time ago and some paint has cracked off. There are also areas on the car that need touching up, this however is not easy due to the type of paint used (it’s hard to match up). THERE IS NO RUST THOUGH! And none of these marks are back to bare metal. Also two of the wheels are scuffed.

As a result of the above I have priced this car way below what I feel it is worth in order to get a quick sale. As stated above I have receipts for nearly £25K over the three years I have owned this car.

£5500 OVNO

Feel free to come and look or give me a call and we can chat : 07767311717.

Hey Dean old chum :D Sorry to see you selling mate :(

To anyone looking at buying this car I can tell you that you couldn't hope to buy from more of an enthusiast and hence a well cared for and thoughtfully built example of an MR2  The asking price really is peanuts and who ever buys is really getting a real bargain!

Best of luck with the sale Dean and be sure to let me know what you end up buying ;)

Cheers...

Also... quick question. Is it possible to divert the screamer pipe to vent to atmos instead of into the exhaust??

Cheers Mike,

It will be sad to see her go thats for sure  I'll keep you posted old chap.

Jim,

Yep the turbo cam originally with the screamer pipe vented to atmos. All you'd need to do is take off the down pipe, cut out where the screamer meets the downpipe and weld up the hole in the downpipe. Job done. Or you could just get a new downpipe and use the original screamer pipe (that i will include in the sale of course!)I was never a fan of the noise tbh, but each to their own!

ouchy!!

Surely it could easily be sorted by respraying the whole front splitter and the whole door?? Or would it be obviously a bit wonky? lol

the splitter wouldn't be too bad to do, the door would need a fair bit of blending though. a bodyshop quoted me £500 to do the door, splitter and the other little scratches.

Is it fair to say that Andi Martin (AM Tuning) did a fair amount of the engine work Dean?

This is a steal, a real rock bottom bargain that should be selling for well over twice the asking price. Whoever buys this car will have a true gem.

Sorry to see you selling up Deano. :(

EarL.

Yep definately! Andi built the base engine for me. I did the easy bit and put it in :eye:

Times they are a changing! It's time to move on and plow more money into another project :)
