Im just after a bit of help/advice.

I installed my greddy profec b spec 2 last week but since fitting it am struggling to get the right settings.

Im not sure what is happening, but i when i do for example SET 50, GAIN 20, SET GAIN 110.

.when i plant my foot i get a nice boost of power around 15psi throwing me back in my seat at around 3.5k rpm then it seems to die down to around 10psi

(100 on screen) and slowly creep up to around 11 towards the redline?
Im struggling as no matter what i do, i seem to get this surge then it dies off.

Any ideas would be muchly appreciated!

Not sure if the controller setup is similar to the Profec e01, but if so

.

:

Set basically control the duty cycle

(period the soleniod is on allowing boost pressure through) of the solenoid and so the eventual boost pressure you can reach.

Gain

: Is a tweak to try and help turbos spool up.

Basically, when you floor it, it keeps the Wastegate closed longer, causing the turbo to spool.

It is supposed to help the turbo spool up slightly quicker

(does work) but if you overdo it you end up with boost spikes.

Start: Is the minimum pressure that has to be reached before the controller lets through any boost pressure.

Eg on my Roadster with very small light pressure turbo

:

Set 55
Gain 15
Start 0psi

Gives me 10psi of boost from a 4psi actuator

For a larger turbo,

:

Set

: Change the

'set' setting from a low value increasing it until you get the

on throttle boost pressure you're looking for.

Gain

: Next, as you come on/off the throttle hard slowly increase the Gain setting until you get full boost with no spiking.

If you get a initial boost spike, turn the boost pressure down.

Start

: changing this will mean you need to change the set and Gain settings above too as well.
