Mk1 Mr2 white spares or repair 1987 E reg

Post by Damen »

Failed it's mot on a hole in the drivers side sill, broken handbrake cable(which I have since fixed) blowing exhaust and knackered windscreen wiper.
Has been stored in my garage since then (Car has been sat in my garage for coming up for 2 years) handbrake off so hopefully shouldn't have seized anything.
The battery is flat as well, so not sure if it starts or not.
One flat tyre, although that may well pump up as had no probs when it was running.

Basically was in good nick when I garaged her, looking a little unloved now and needs someone to come and love her before I just scrap it.

Looking for about £200, you will need to probably trailer it away.

Hi

What are the arches like?

Can you post up pics....or email them to [email protected]

If driveable and minimal rust, i will collect ASAP.

Thanks

Update.
Ok, well battery was completely flat, so swapped in one from my runaround and started first turn of the key!

Only problem seems to be that you cannot select gear once engine is started, with the engine off you can go through the gears, but once it's running just won't go in.
The car had a recon gearbox & new clutch about 6months before it was garaged so should be ok ? Sounds like something has just seized on somewhere.

Anyways, short of a quick fix would need to be towed or trailered away.

Let me know as still available.

Likely the clutch has got stuck on. Make sure you got some space (either in front or behind if you use reverse gear) and start the car with it in gear and clutch up - it should free off. Be ready on the brake pedal of course and take care doing it
