[Mk1] [NA] 3TGTE engine conversion? anyone hear of it?

I was woundering if anyone has ever done or heard of someone doing a 3TGTE engine conversion in a AW11 instead of the 4age?

you mean a 3SGTE into a mk1 MR2, yep almost hundred by now, just click on the mk1 forum and look for signatures with mk1.5 in them.

Forgive my undoubted Mk1 ignorance - but why?

complete (22 year old) engine transplant for 30 more bhp - why not go down the 3S-GTE route ?

My thoughts exactly mate, surely the tubby engine makes more sense :-k

someone in the usa put a V8 into a mk1 !!! its on youtube somewhere iirc
