They reduced the top speed runs length down yet again this year, from 1.2miles to 1 mile! Local residents moaning will have this reduced to 100 feet by next year if they had their way! #-o

No it was definitely only 1 mile last year IIRC. :-k

Yeah mine's on a stock final drive. Apart from that, my butt was twitching.

I let off a few yards before the line, so I suppose I could have eeked 1 or 2 more mph from it, but thats about it.

Fast enough for me.

Well done guys

Brilliant effort 8)

Wasn't able to make due to doing the classic car thing at Silverston.

I am also glad a good mate of ours, James Willday (B28 RX7), was putting in some pretty good times too :)

Cometic.

I would just like to point out - the reason why the head gasket (finaly!) went was due to a water leak on the water pump housing which got worse and worse during the day. I wasnt able to fix it and when i did the top speed run (which i probably shouldnt have done..)most the water was lost which in turn damaged the head gasket. The final was just the result of the top speed run.

My fault as i should have rested it - but i had the view that i cam to do all disciplins so i did them!

Mmm, I think I saw it parked near the hi-fi separates I left in his living room, he's going to bring those round later so I'll get the car at the same time and post it on... later... much later ;)
