Had a great day except for the sunburn #-o

Only suggestion I can think of is a more visible timer for the 1/4 mile and terminal speeds; trying to listen to the result amidst all the noise was pretty difficult at times. Great day out though :thumleft:

Firstly, Respect to Michael for putting together TeamMR2 and congratulations to everyone who was in it. Very impressive times and hopefully the MR2 might be taken a little more seriously at future events thanks to you lot

Was painful to watch Nathan's smoke screen appear on the last drag run :( (Myself and the Horrocks spoke to Mr C before we left and had the "if only" chat) Hope the 4th quickest in the world makes it less painful \:D/

Entry to the venue was a hell of a lot quicker this year and well organized. But trying to get out if you stay to watch the finals is a joke  (unless you just shoot up the left hand side and cut in like the majority were doing) that really does need addressing. Going off the amount of cars in the spactator car park this event is getting more and more popular as the cars on show get quicker so it's going to be worse next year if something isn't done and i would possibly think about missing out on the finals to save sitting in a stationary queue for over an hour.

Food is expensive but has to be expected for a closed event like that, But thankfully it wasn't quite as dear as the classic car show at Tatton Park last month (and by the time i decided to get food not wanting to loose my place at the fence near the start line i'd slowly managed to get after an hours waiting around there was no bloody ketchup left to put on my cheese burger) ](*,) which leads me to .....

Spectating: Why can't they supply more elevated seating? Whats available is poor for the amount of visitors. Even if they raised the grass on the right hand side of the dragstrip to make a small incline/hill like it is at York Raceway would mean more people wouldn't have to balance on their toes 5 people back to get a glimpse of a car roof.

The queue for competitors for the handling circuit seemed to move a lot slower this year but it looked like everyone had more chances to have goes at the quarter and at times it was empty waiting for cars to come back round.

All in all a great day out again (3rd year as a spectator) and thanks to Toni for the cheaper tickets. £20 is a bit steep, But justifyable in the future providing they supply better viewing for the visitors.

And to top it off I didn't get burnt this year \:D/ took some factor 20 and Mr Horrocks loaned me his cap :thumleft:

I enjoyed the event again, 4th year running i've been and every year people seem to have the same problems but nothing changes. Most problems seem to have been mentioned allready but i will mention them again

1. 1/4 mile results, there should be either a much larger monitor / screen or additional ones to make viewing easier, it can only be read at the moment if your near the start line.

2. grand stand seating again was completely inadequate there needs to me a lot more to cope with the amount of spectators.

3. more fencing down one side would help its no fun if your short and its five people deep at the barriers

4. was difficult to see / hear any results on the handling course. Not sure if the guy was even reading them out.

5. queues for the handling circuit need addressing

food seemed more reasonable this year compared to previous years depending on which stall you went too.
