153mph seems to be a bit of a brick wall - I presume these 3 all had a standard final drive?

My top speed was done on low boost setting with the head gasket on its way - 5th gear was a waste of time :(

From the regs:

Points are awarded for scoring in the top ten overall from all 3 events, not by class placing.

10 points are awarded for a win, down to 1 point for tenth place. 30 points maximum are available. You can also pick up 1 point for winning each of the shootouts, i.e. handling and drag final. Additionally any car that manages to score overall in all 3 events will receive a bonus of 5 points.

Yes, we just didn't score any points :)

Points go on the overall results for each class and those pesky 4WD things pretty much took over, we got close though.

Top speed runs are interesting, I managed 157.9 on a standard gearbox last year, and Nik (Freefall) 161. Bit strange they were all grouped together!

Ain't that the truth! The bottom half of that strip just before the timing gear is shockingly bumpy. I got bounced all over the place!

Yes - i crossed the line backwards

Only had 1 go then got hooked on the 1.4 mile. The car isnt setup for track use although next year i tend to make more of an effort with the handling... it should be my strongest chance!

They reduced the top speed runs length down yet again this year, from 1.2miles to 1 mile! Local residents moaning will have this reduced to 100 feet by next year if they had their way! #-o
