A few pictures.

Post by ChavMR2 »

I didnt really spend about 7 hours cleaning the car today. I didnt wash it, then give it a dose of Meguiars deep crystal Paint Cleaner (absolutley amazing job. better than T-Cut, bit not abrasive), followed by a coat of AutoGlym Super resin Polish, topped off with Meguiars nxt generation Tech Wax.
I wasnt then that pleased with the result that I went to a couple of local places and took 148 pictures of it.

So, these are the pictures that I didnt take after not washing it.

Was it the first time youve polished your car to that degree? Its always the hardest first time on something older ive found!

Good way to spend a sunny day anyway 8)

Its been washed and polished since I had it, but yesterday was the first time it (didnt) got the full, 5 stage treatment. The bodywork doesnt stand close inspection, but it looks a minter (almost) on the pics.

Nice work, Great pics.

Are you planning on getting the wheels done?

On my old mk1 I had the wheels diamond cut and the tear drops done in gun metal grey. They only stayed nice for about 2 years but looked fantastic. You should really consider it.

I plan on getting them polished (the wheels), with the teardrops done either satin black or white. A few coats of laquer should make it last awhile. Next time they are done though, it will be much easier.
The drivers side front is partially done.
