Wha? Everything has moved, i'm confused!!

Post by Speedy »

Hi,
Yes, you aren't going crazy* we've moved some of the boards around this evening. Subscription boards are now at the top, which makes them a bit more visible. We've rejigged some of the less popular areas, and moved some other things around generally.

Let me know what you think, or if you have trouble seeing something which you had access to before.

* Well, I've moved things around. Any other problems you may have are your own 8-[

Well it looks a little different than before, but I'm sure we'll all have forgotten what the old set up looked like in a couple of days :)

One thing I thought I'd mention, "Suggestions" is noteable by it's absence?

Do we post in here........ :?:

Hmm, ok - I was thinking about that as well.. perhaps it should go into the Mr2 Board.. given that there are *only* mr2 items for sale in there.. hmm

Like it :thumleft:

Always thought 'General' should have been at the top of the main list.

One grumble: 'Driving Experiences' should be much higher up, but I can see why it's at the bottom - why don't more people post in here about great drives, roads, cars etc?

I think that although this section should be about great drives and roads, it's become more about versus style threads which is not really ideal. Perhaps if there were more great drives listed there it'd become more popular - and thus may end up further up next time there's a reshuffling...?

I'm not sure that anyone cares about great drives - I've posted a couple of times and got no response, so stopped bothering. I think that because most threads are 'vs', a lot of people don't bother reading that forum, even if they would enjoy a 'great roads' type thread.

Maybe we should start a 'Great Driving roads' thread in Driving Experiences and see what happens?

glol - driving experiences is a bit of a controversial place - well, as controversial as it gets on IMOC. Technically speaking (and I know this is boring and silly) we can't have posts on the forums which talk about people breaking the speed limit on public roads etc etc, so it's always going to cause problems. It's been moved to the bottom to reflect how much we value the contribution it makes to the board overall (i.e. not much), and how much moderation it requires (more than the benefit it gives us IMO)..

So there's an implied order with the Forums....in which case why is the MR2 Mk1 Club Forum at the bottom of the MR2 Boards list....when shirley it should be towards the top? :-#

I agree... :)

Though I can kind of understand it being at the bottom - there are more Mk2 owners on IMOC than Mk1 owners so the non-Mk1 specific boards should go first.
On top of this, the non-Mk1 sections are actually for all Marks (including Mk1s) so probably deserve to be slightly higher up...

...true but it's International MR2 Owners Club, not International Mk2 MR2 Owners Club...

I am pulling your legs but there's an ikkle bit of seriousness in what I'm saying.

(And I actually agree with you and would love to see the Mk1 section up top... 8-[ )
