Hiya,
After seeing the gorgeous helios blue mk1 at JAE, I was wondering where and who converted it? How much it costs for the conversion and where the engine originated from?
Also,
A few cars back and to the right of mine, the one next to the red mk1 with 17" alloys, momo i think, there was another red mk1 and it had a lush steering wheel. The letters J&S i think...

I admired the conversion. It was done well.
I also noticed the SC outlet duct was attached to the charger differently (vertically rather than horizontally) to the normal SC, but I doubt this would make any different to the performance at all.
It was probably done this way to allow the intercooler to fit under the N/A lid???
Still looked very clean too

AE92/101 SC outlet pipe runs vertically, as the intercooler sits directly on top of the engine in the Corolla
Hi there,
I'm doing an AE92 SC conversion atm, I acquired my engine from www.fensport.co.uk and in total with mechanics doing the work rather then me it will prolly cost around 3K (ulp).
Came across this recently as well: http://www.woodsport.org/index.html but have no idea on quality or goodness.
Hope that helps!

Paul Woods work is highly praised - just looked at the site, £3K would also get you a mk1.6 conversion (3.0v6 with about 200bhp fly).

I had the first AE92 SC conversion in the UK six years ago. Also done by Fensport at the time. If you do go for it you have to put on a rising rate fuel press regulator otherwise it will run lean under acceleration due to the differences between the NA and SC fuel pump. You will have an NA pump of course.
