North West Japanese Car Event - All Welcome

Post by JamieR »

Hi there everyone,

I would like to make you all aware of a car show that is happening in the North West on Sunday 19th August 2007.

The event is being held at HAIGH HALL in the main grounds in front of the hall, so there is plenty of room.

I would like to invite your club and members to attend and pop your cars on your stand. Bit of a socialising day with what's looking like some interesting motors in attendance.

You can find out information here:
http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ ... opic=42784

If you would like to attend please reply in this topic and I will add your names, along with your club to the main list. The more the merrier!

The day will be completely free to attend. Even if you don't want to put your car in the show area, you can always come along for the day and have a look around the various cars that will be here - again, no entrance fee :)

Several companies will also be making an appearance, including specialised Japanese tuning companies :)

Haigh Hall is located in Wigan, post code: WN2 1PE

Most shows are held down South, either in Northants or at Silverstone, so for a change, we're bringing one up here!

Any questions, please feel free to ask.

All the best,
Jamie

Good evening all,

Just thought I'd pop by to see if there is any interest from this club. So far, we have interest of around 100 cars and not much space left.

Would be great if we could see the presence of some MR2's.

Great turn out at JAE btw :)

All the best,
Jamie

Sadly, not had much response from IMOC. There are still a few spaces that I have reserved just in case anyone from this club decides to gather together for a stand.

Good morning everyone,

All places for this event have now been allocated and invitations have now closed.
I'm sorry you have been unable to qualify for an owners club stand, however, there will be an opportunity for the event following this.

The Japan North event is taking place on Sunday 19th August at Haigh Hall in Wigan for which everyone is welcome, free of charge.

Best regards,
Jamie

Hi Jamie,

Just to let you know this clashes with tatton park show (you probably do already!) a lot of people from the north west will probably be on the stands there with the mk1 club or north west drivers club.

Cheers

Hi there everyone,

Just thought I would make you aware of the raffle prizes - they are pretty impressive:

Tickets are only £1.00 each and a book of 5 for £5.00 :)

There is no limit on how many you can purchase. I'm already receiving email requests for tickets!

Hope you all have a great day,
See you Sunday,
Jamie

Hi there all,

When you make your way to the show tomorrow, please be aware that there are a few other shows on called Haigh Show, around the area that we are having ours.

Please look for the Japan North Logo below:

If you do not see this, then the sign you have seen is not for the car show.

Also, Haigh Hall have a Sunday Carvery, which is on until 4pm tomorrow, so you could always book onto that tomorrow for some tea before leaving if you wished.

All the best and I look forward to meeting you...

Best regards,
Jamie

Here is a map for entry. The entrance on the right hand side of the map is nearer to Aspull, whilst the other entrance on the left is nearer to Standish / Red Rock.

There will also be signs to indicate entrance to the venue.

Hey there everyone,

Well, from the responses on initial arrival this morning and upon departure this afternoon, it seems everyone wants a repetition next year as an annual event.

This was the first Japan North Event and as I say, from what was said to me, it shall not be the last.

I will post up a link in due course to images of the event and the cracking turn out that took place.

All the best,

Jamie Rigby

Hey there everyone,

Just thought I would revive this topic to say that the show had a review in Japanese Performance Magazine on page 115.

Thank you to all that attended the show and hope you are all well.

All the best,
Jamie

(P.S. As things develop for next year's Japan North, I will start a new topic.)
