Well, me and speedy san are back!
Flippin heck i'm knackered... what a weekend

First things first, the official record:

The 'MR2 Village' stand missed out on the JAE best club stand (won by the mk4 Supra club), getting an honourable mention (maybe next year ;) ).
The MR2 Village footie tournament was won by the mk1 club (again!) - come on ROC and IMOC - we need to kick their ass next year - start training now!
The MR2 Village Tug of war entry came third (good effort) behind Celica club and mr2oc.
The Geordie Mafia won the Treasure hunt Haribo (piccies please  )
Steve Horrocks won the best Hawaiian dressed Haribo - photos no doubt on their way - Paul Port winning second place lollies
IMOC show and shine was won by Chri5py, and KarlT as runner up :thumleft:
Malcolm (bam chicka waaahh wannnnhhh) for being old, and allowing us all to eat your cake ;)

Thanks to everyone who braved the weather - I had a really excellent time :)

Further awards:

Most helpful: Stu (Kanujunkie from ROC) for running around like a headless chicken sorting the lights, pig, gazebo erection etc etc!
Most naked: Steve Horrocks (allegedly ;) )
Muddiest feet: Stu (Kanujunkie from ROC)
Best dancing buddy: Jo (MR2mk1chick)
Bestest entertainment: Club: Vix (mk1 club) with her poi, and also the prelude owner that kept us entertained with his fire staff :o (most impressive!) - Stu should stop fire breathing with meths though.... )
Best balloon inflating skills: JMachling and Yanna (sorry if i've spelt that wrong!)
Best balloon animal: Looby for her balloon dog (sorry Chri5py, but Looby's had balls :thumleft: )
Worst balloon animal: Tonig's giraffe...
Up latest: Possibly Stu? (unless anyone else can beat 5am)

A huge thankyou to everyone that pitched in and helped out with the stand - especially in the crap weather. Also a huge credit to all three clubs that everyone stayed in good humour despite tent floodings, being soaked to the bone, and cowering under the gazebos in the downpours :thumleft:

I haven't had such a laugh in ages :)

Had a great JAE as always (thanks to the peeps who oranised it all), although suffering a bit from stiff legs and rope burn! Well done to the tug of war team and thanks to all who turned up to support us. :thumleft:

Will get a couple of pics up in one thread or t'other but wasn't particularly prolific with the phone cam. :(

Thanks to everyone involved in it working and all the organisation! Had a fantastic time (even if I didn't take part in everything - well, anything) and gave me just the laughs that I need right now!
Photos forthcoming.

Cheers again guys! :thumleft:

Just wanted a say a massive thanx to all those that made it possible.

In no particular order; Anna, Alex, Jo, Stu, Mark, Limey, Jaspa, Malcolm, Scott, Kirsty and all the members that provided the entertainment! Ie Steve Horrocks (for his hedonistic attitude, - impressive comeback on the Sat night i thought), Murf (for believing that Mark had 'widescreen' glasses) and also that Infamous guy who seemed to have trouble standing upright after 7pm.

This is the first year i've not really had that much to do with JAE organisation. I remember back in 2005 when Toni, Ben and I did the lot, so its nice to take a back seat and see it all go so well. I know just how much hardwork is involved with getting this event up and running and keeping it all going smoothly, so a massive thanx to all who had a part in JAE this year, mucho appreciated. :thumright:

Wow - What a great JAE

The turnout of cars was fantastic despite the weather, as the MK1 section (all mk1s IMOC and MK1 club) had as many turn up on friday as did last year - amazing. ~38 mk1's friday night i think inc 12 SC's

After the initial village setup i was soo wet and cold i actually drove home again (2hr round trip) to get more clothes (ski trousers) so i could bounce back to life for the partying.

What more can i say but:

Great People, Great Atmosphere, Great Parties, Great Cars, Great Big Huge Downpours, Great JAE 2007

In other news, I've had a PM from PW@Woodsport, so he has survived the weekend, despite what I heard on Saturday about how much alcohol he had consumed. :eye:

Despite the weather, the funniest JAE ever.

The sight of Horrocks legging it after that Scooby in a torrential downpour, a grass skirt, with Harribo flying everywhere, will stay with me for ever. Absolutely classic.

Absolutely fantastic job done by the organisers as ever. Well done Anna, Alex & Co, you're an absolute credit to the club. :thumleft:

My apologies for not taking part in the tug of war. My self inflicted state of drunkenness from Saturday night finally caught up with me at around 11ish on Sunday, so I ran for the hills. Cal me a wimp if you must.

Roll on next year.

LOL - yup... definite classic moment! And the fact that no one had any idea quite why he was doing it. A strange whelp of something and he was off...
