Riiiiight, getting back OnTopic!!

JAE, starts tomorrow, 12:00(ish), and runs until Sunday.

This is a quick overview of the location and the intended layout on our stand (thanks to Google)

Image

Note the roundabouts at the top of the picture are the roundabouts you will come across on your way into the showground. The red area is the stand area. We will designate the purple area for camping. This will be fenced off, but obviously, if you start putting up your tent before we fence it off, please be sensible in where you put your tent. Last years tent erection became a little haphazard, and we'd like to make sure that the tents are a bit better arranged this year, just so there are no accidents with people tripping over guide-ropes etc (dull I know, but easily done when drunk).

Ideally, we'd like the tents arranged in rows, but speak to somebody on the day when you get there to see how we've decided to go with it.

Apart from that, the stand will be split into the 3 different mks (not directly by club). Something like this (not my handiwork) :

Image

(NB that the loos are on the block, but from the picture above, they don't directly encroach into our area). So Mk1s will be bottom left, then Mk1SCs then Mk2s across the right hand side of the stand, and the Roadsters across the top left.

There will be designated access points into the stand, as we had last year. Once you arrive, look out for somebody either wearing a high-vis vest, wearing a sherrifs hat, fairy outfit or clothing which says IMOC on it, and they will direct you to where you need to be parked up (it'll probably be Malcolm, Chris or Me). Please let us know if you are only staying for a single day, and we'll make sure you don't get blocked in by other cars.

The weather looks like it is going to be *very* poor on Friday. We have made arrangements to have some Ponchos available for £1 which you'll be able to get from Anna and me (monies go into IMOC club funds). I suggest that you bring suitable footwear for muddy conditions on friday/saturday - hopefully sunday will be better. I'd also not be put off by the weather, we have plenty of gazeebos which we'll be sorting out to keep everybody dry.

A list of the IMOC things going on will be written on a blue mk1 SC.
Hog roast will be at 7pm for those people with tickets, and 7.30 for everybody else.

Er, what else.. we are all there for a good time, so please come over and say Hi, we are (mostly) a friendly bunch, and we do like to meet members - but bear in mind that we are also there to enjoy the show, so we might vanish off to look around it at some points.

I'll post again if I can think of anything else.

Affirmative :thumleft:

If you have an advanced ticket, for the love of all that is good, PLEASE retain the stub. You will notice there is something on the back. This will enable you to get your portion of hog roast before it's opened up to the masses.

Ok - listen up people.

The advanced tickets went out on the 9th, 10th, 13th and 16th of this month by 1st class post (unless you have been one of the very last people - you'll know who you are).

*IF you have not got your ticket by the time you turn up at JAE, I'm afraid you will have to pay the full price on the gate* - we have no more tickets.

HOWEVER - Please come and find me or Anna, and we will get the Royal Mail to cough up for your lost post (we have proof of postage for all of the 100+ tickets sent) and we will refund you when they refund us.

ALSO - since you won't have your hog roast token/ticket, we will sort you out with something else to use instead, so you won't miss out.
