Where was this at Mike?
Thats some 60 foot on streetish tyres!
The 9 sec cars in the states are pulling 1.4's (on full drag slicks/radials)
Have you hit consistant low 60 foots?
Michael.

It was timed at TOTB 2005. It's the only time I've ever managed it to be honest but have managed 1.5/1.6 second 60ft pretty consistently! Not really done all that much in the way of drag since the new engine was fitted last yr. We entered The Jap Show Final last yr and managed to win class B with an 11.9 second run. If memory serves my 60ft was pretty bad on that run at around 2 seconds lol

It helps having the engine at the back as this pushes the wheels to the floor rather than in like a front engined car where the rear is lighter and loses traction easier (drifting perfect example). Just make sure your transmission is up to the job cos obviously the extra weight puts more stress on this.
I know a lad in his little starlet running 1.6s to 60ft, thats impressive in a FWD on R888s, all about technique and knowing your car
1.877 60ft time is my quickest one which resulted in my best time of 13.2 and thats with a hairdryer ct26, out of the 18 runs i did last year 6 were under 2secs and the others about 2secs upto 2.2secs and these were all on yoko parada's and ive still got all the slips
cheers steve

it would help if you used your mickey t's as they where intended
ie - get a line lock and warm them up properly
LOL - got a line lock - just need to get it fitted. but yeah, you're absolutely right. like i've always said the car is capable, the muppet inside is the problem.
