Wheel fitment question

Post by TheRed2 »

I am looking at a set of 16" rims on ebay which were wearing by a FTO before.
Does the FTO has got the same fitment as my Mk2 MR2? The seller has mentioned about the fitment...
(The PCD is 114.3 and the offset on the front is 16 x 7 OJJ 5 1/2 and the rear is 16 x 8 6 1/4 inch.)
Does it make sense? :-k
Cheers!

they sound ok, not sure about the offset - you want ET35-ET45 (you can go lower with arch work)

standard wheels are ET45 not sure if thats too high or not as the wheels are both 1 inch wider than standard

whats the centre bore size?

Thx Steve! The seller seems not knowing his product quite well. I will try to ask him though.
BTW, Where are you about in KENT? I saw your car at last bluewater meet, very nice motor! Like your rims! =D>

Ask the seller to see if he can see ET(followed by 2 digits) stamped anywhere on the wheel this will verify the offset so you can be certain they'll fit the 2 without any rubbing.

The PCD is the same and FTO's have a centre bore of 67.1 so you'll just need some 67.1-60.1mm spigot rings.

no idea ](*,)

found this though http://mivec.co.uk/performancedata/

Wheel offsets Width 6.5 Offset +20mm to +50mm (reg.*+38mm)
Width 7.0 Offset +25mmto +45mm
Width 7.5 Offset +30mm to +39mm
Width 8.0 Offset +35mm

depends if the wheels are standard or not i suppose :?
