engine powers and performance question

Post by DamienMR2 »

as i said in my previous post im looking for a rev 3 mk 2 just some questions on performance, ive read thesee 0-60 times and power rates:

REV 1+2 158BHP, 0-60 in 7.2 seconds

REV 3 174 BHP, 0-60 in 7.7 seconds

are these figures right, if so why does the rev 3 have a slower 0-60 time even tho its got a more powerful engine?

thanks for any help

Are those figures from the same source? There's always variance on quoted 0-60 but the Rev3 will be faster.
If you're after straight line performance you might want to consider the turbo variant.

'Cause a rev3 has less torque for one thing... also carries a little extra weight with ABS & side impact bars. Plenty of road tests published all show the early pre-cat Rev1's quickest off the mark, as low as 6.7s. Rev 3's 7.7-7.9s. Unless it's for the strip or track its pretty academic.
