[Mk2] [NA] cd pladyer

Post by donblack »

Hi got problem with J.V.C.cd player getting interference noise only when engine is running high and low when revving engine.
Auto elec 1 told me that it was the player and that it had been modifyed to work through toyota amp said that fitting specific type of Kenwood player might cure it.
Auto elec2 did not look at the car told me he could not cure problem with player going through toyota amp and that fitting any player would not cure it and that i would have to put up with problem.
Is there any body who can help me with this problem I find it very puzzling and wondered if some other mr2 owners have had same problem.
Thanks don :?

Sounds you need a surpressor (ground loop isolator) as it's picking up interference from the alternator. My JVC had the same problem, you can get them for about a fiver from www.cpc.co.uk.

Worth a try, your mans advice sounds a little off to me.

Yes i thought it sounded like it was a surpressor problem but auto tec 1 said different, thought his answer was a bit strange.
I will do what you say, thanks for your advice .

Thanks again Don
