With regard to tyre sizes etc, use the search bar at the top mate, you'll find what you need :)

Id go for 17" wheels personally, 16 are not a common size so they tyres are more expensive than 17.

Plus 17 will look better and fit fine.

17"s are the best size IMO 8)

IMO, 17s are good for SHOW and Corner handling.
However, you will find the ride a bit HARSH and the car has to give more POWER and drink more PETROL to run on these bigger wheels!
As most of the MR2 owners say, 16s are the overall BEST choice.

My old Rev2 handled really badly on 17s. Aside from the ride height having been lowered, it also made the ride too harsh, and the car would bounce along the road as well as tramline like crazy.
Most IMOCers buy 17s for looks, but try and convince themselvs (and everyone else) that the handling has miraculously improved.

Ah...yes. 16s have the best compromise between looks and handling for the MR2. Big enough to look better than standard wheels, but enough sidewall to give a progressive feel on the bendy stuff.

*Cue everyone with 17" wheels saying that their MR2 handles brilliantly* :D
Mk2 NA Rev1 -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev2 -*- Mk1 NA -*- Mk2 Turbo Rev 3 = all gone!

My Blitz 17" with 245 rear and 215 front does handle nicely

They are Wolfrace Mantis not matrix. We have been thinking of getting them for a while in 17". If you do a search at some other wheel sites and search for Matrix I think you will find that they are different from what you have been looking at.

I have those exact wheels (Matrix Shadow) but I got the 17's.. any smaller and I don't think they would look too good.

If you are gonna go for 17's.. looks terrible unless you lower it.
