[Mk2] [Turbo] Rev3 Inlte Manifold On Rev2 Head?
Hi
Can anybody tell me weather a Rev3 Inlet manifold will fit a Rev2 head without any complications?

Hi,

I doubt it, the manifolds are quite different.
The Rev3 manifold has 4 large ports whilst the rev2 has 8 smaller ones.
The bolts/studs might be different as well, hopefully someone can confirm?

On the plus side, there are loads of aftermarket manifolds for the rev2 and virtually none for Rev3+

i thought about doing this, but its alot of work to make up an adpater to fit the manifold to the head.

apart from that, aparent straight swap.

Cheers Guy's
Not looking to good trying to mate a rev3 manifold to a rev2, Iv'e allready had the TVIS plate machined and butterfly rod holes tiged, I was only considering this mod because there's one going on ebay and thought that it would be a good way foward.
Thanks for your advice.

Didn't Ryan at 2Bar tuning look into making up an adaptor for this??

As was said I know it's not a straight swap as the stud holes
/ port centres are slightly out but I'm sure someone on here was looking at getting something done.

Try PM'ing 2Bar tuning for info.

It is possiable and made a nice improvement.

Used the tvis plate as an adaptor but had to modify it alot including alu welding bit

Is this something you'd look at offering on a sale to the public basis or is it just too much messing around??

What about getting a batch of ally adaptors made in a CNC machining place??

My brother works in one so could ask around??

It is possible, but you need to do alot of work to make it all connect properly and be smooth.

Personally the rev 3 isn't a hugely amount better than the rev 1/2 if your looking for an aftermarket manifold that will bolt straight up I would recommend getting something like the RMR thats tried and tested to make power.

Ok its more money but will bolt straight up, there is alot of work to get the rev 3 to mount a rev 1/2 and done properly.
