not as far as i know but the main samco factory is in wales somewhere so you can get some made up cheap.
theres a samco company here in nuneaton which ive used in the past. a lot cheaper that fleabay but they only do blue.

Samco Sport
Coed Cae Lane
Pontyclun
Mid Glamorgan
South Wales
CF72 9HJ

Tel: 44 (0)1443 238464
Fax: 44 (0)1443 237781

just been on their website and they state that they wont make one offs and they wont sell to the public, miserable bastards.
however i can order through the nuneaton branch.
if you are interested let me know the sizes and ill order them for you.

Would guess Jo is mega busy with other stuff? Is it something many would be interested in?? I would really like a set as the ones on mine look original, and it would be good to upgrade at the same time as replacing. I'll retrieve the set off my n/a spares car (a couple broke as they had weld themselves onto the engine!) and contact Samco. I'm sure they would be enough interest given the popularity of the mk1.

*edit* just read mart's post fully sounds like samco is a no - there must be other companies?

I had a brief chat with Jo about these... she has a set to send off, but she's mega busy at the moment so can't chase it up.
I'd certainly be interested in a set for my N/A as a couple of them are looking past their best...
I've heard there's a Samco place near me as well... when I get a chance I'll find out and see if they can be persuaded to cater for us... :)

Well, there's a thread on it in the Group Buys section. Revive it, perhaps? Anyone interested, should go add their names there...
However, I don't think that we'll get an exact idea of numbers until we have a general idea of price. So it'd be worth trying to see if they can be purchased first, I reckon.

Both Jo & I have been extremely busy over the last few months. Total Caos TBH.

Good news is the hose kit Jo is planning on using as a basis was brought down from the loft on the weekend. She will hopefully be contacting her supplier shortly after the Angelsey track days we are doing this weekend.

The idea i have is to do this through the club, so members get a discounted price, but will be available to anyone via the MK1 club shop

Its a Silicone Hose kit to replace the rubber coolant or boost hoses, which after 20 years may be getting a bit tired. They normally come in blue to help brighten up the engine bay

Kevin, you managed to speak to them?! I went over to talk to them and there was no one working on the hoses side to talk to me... The Goodflex hoses?

yes thats them he came and looked at my engine bay
very helpful and said no probs making up hoses from samples in a multitude of colours
I have the contact details if you or Jo want to take this forward
this would be a good seller as no kits are currently available here or even in the US that I know of

Kevin, it'd be good to give them a try but unfortunately so far I've not even had time to contact my local Samco agent. Then of course there's the chance I'd have to take the car there for them to have a look as I doubt they'll have any info on file.

Do you know where they're based? It would be good to try to follow this up somehow.

There's definitely been some interest in the group buys thread, so yes, this should hopefully be a seller as a group buy - obviously if the price isn't sky-high...
