You'll be looking at a shade over a grand for that.... but that orange on an MR2 would be totally wicked.

If I had only handed over 1k I really would not expect to get the car back and be happy. At this price level the best you can hope for is a rough blow over in a standed colour!

You should allow anywhere between £1600.00 & £2000.00 for a top quality job that will stand the test of time. Even at this price level you would still be looking at standed 2 pack colours. The kind of paint that your talking about can cost a lot of money on it's own

Well in the north, it would be a grand. For a totally sound job, it's no comparison but a mates diablo had it done for £2500. But that was special paint bla bla.

I am in Hull, my first spectroflash respray was 2.5k the second one i had done last year was 4.5k, yes that is an expensive paint but i agree that i would be suspect of anything less than 2-3k for a flip paint.

I'm in Cardiff and I've just been quoted by Auto Body Perfections, £1700 for a full re-spray (windows 'n' trim out) in original two pack Crimson Red, so a grand for that sounds a bit cheap to me. :-k

I'd recommend ringing a couple more companies for quotes...

It all depends on the quality of the respray... how far do you strip it... inside and enginebay and stuff sprayed aswell...

I had a quote for £800 for my last tubby. That was for the stock toyota gren/blue flip paint. Also had one for about £1400 tops all in. And some dodgy paintshop wanted way over £2K for it. just windows and trim out quotes those.

The £800 was from a classic car restorer who kept pics of all his work. Looked pretty good too.

I paid just short of £2k for my respray on my last car. Anything less than that sorta ballpark would make me suspicious that they were cutting corners.

where abouts you live? would scarborough be too much of a trek for ya? my mate Richard at Rap Bodystyling resprays cars, he does the engine bay etc.. fits and modifys kits etc and very reasonable prices too! \:D/

(and just incase you were wondering how good he is at his job, various of his cars have had features in magazines, i would post some pics up but im at work atm 8-[ )
