I agree, a fantastic event! One of the most enjoyable I've done in fact 8) Cruising through Guildford was a laugh with all the pi$$ed clubbers looking on in amazement or yelling approval in their Neanderthal way

Hope you get your belt back on Antstarr.

Yeah - excellent thrash. If there's another one I must get the following day off work....
Oh btw I'm going to write to West Sussex County Council to ask them to install street lights on the A272 so that Antstarr can see where the road goes.......

Better signage for the loose gravel would help too  ](*,)

Woo hoo what a fun run that was - bar the idiot turning off infront of me in Guildford with no warning, nearly causing me to drive into them.

Apologies to all about the gravel, wasn't aware that it was there, if I had known then we would have had a slightly different route.

There will definately be another midnight run, maybe with a different route or an extended route, it depends on what people want. Not going to do them too regularly as want to keep the appeal of the run.

Personally I was knackered when I crawled into the house at 3.45 in the morning but found it difficult to sleep with the adrenaline buzz.

It was lighter at that time then most of the previous evening!

Some great roads and was a really good laugh, I also have the enduring memory of Richard's girly screams and requests to "use the middle pedal".
I am going to live forever, or die trying!

Hey guys - sorry not to have replied sooner - been internet-less for a few days... :(

Was indeedy a great night - many thanks for organising it!!! Sorry for getting left behind in my little Mk1... a combination of not enough confidence in the rear end (found out that it could be due to them being a bit under pressured... #-o ) (or just not enough balls! ;) ) and at one point just before the stop off having someone catch up behind me and tail me for a bit (at all cornering speeds) - not being able to see the colours on it and being at the back of the queue I decided to take it easy... just in case I became easy pickings... IYSWIM.
Though the tubbies left us for dead on all the straights... :)

Some fantastic roads, great sights and sounds - my favourite Mk2s were there, as were two Mk1s that are a little close to my heart as well... :) Oh and of course Chris' Sillycar...

Just a great night... I also creeped into my parents at 3:45, got up at 8 was out by 8:30, got a phone call in the office at 10 asking why I didn't hang around for breakfast or to even say hello...

Had my heart sink a bit yesterday when I was checking something else out on the old girl and discovered chunks of paint missing from the inside lip of the nearside front arch... which was fine last week...  Stupid gravel with little signage (had a four wheel lockup - I saw everyone slowing down and being far behind thought I could catch up and brake late... suddenly I was catching up very quickly with no braking capability... big brown trouser moment... LOL).

Had a great weekend after that too - but it started out in fantastic style, so once again... many thanks guys!!! Well worth the 160 miles I had to do to get there and back!

Don't disrespect the Sillycar, it's rallying pedegree came in very useful in that gravel! :^o Shame it's not 4wd. 8-[

Actually after Friday night, I have mucho respect for the Sillycar...

Just wish you'd given me back my spare wheel after the run, as that was obviously what was slowing me down... 8-[

(or maybe that weight up front was what was helping me keep on the road... )
