Does a rev 3 have a lsd

hello people, ive eventually got round to getting a tubby, im going on saturday to pick up a 94 rev 3 turbo, do they have lsds,, do they have any perks

To verify if your car has a LSD, check the vehicle identification plate on the inside of front bonnet. There are a number of codes given there, including the transmission type, whose code starts with the sequence "A/TM"

For example, A/TM:- 735/E153

If the last digit before the /E153 is a '3' or a '5' then the car has a LSD - therefore in the example above it does.

i was under the impression all rev 3 or later tubbies had LSD.

Boffins. can we confirm? Just ensure the tubby is manufactured after 94 and not just sold after 94. could be a big difference. check the bottom of seatbelt for this.

AFAIA it was an OPTION through out the series, however I think something like 80% of them have it.

pretty sure it was a factory option on the rev 2 mate and standard fit on the rev 3

lol ive stirred some confusion now, il check it when i get it, or use the good old method of, fryin the wheels of the mark, two even trails of smoke and thats sort of a tell tale

Rev 3+ cars regardless of spec should have an LSD fitted as standed

Well looking at the Toyota EPC for j-spec cars it says from 12/91 it is STANDARD.
