Rowan,

Couldn't have do it without your advice. Thanks mate. Meet up soon? I can't find the words to explain how much I hate those bloody drop-links! Got there in the end, but it was a bit of a pain.

Looking good peter.
How different does it feel when driving? I know you've not done alot of miles in the new car but wondered how it felt in comparison? My ride certainly became noticeably harsher but was easily compensated for by the reduction in roll/pitch etc but I've only gone 30mm and am on 15s. How harsh is the ride compared to 304 now your both lower AND on 17s?

PS. In Harpenden this w/e with (as far as my gf has told me) no plans for the sunday.

that look soooo much better. Well done. Think the Tein springs def give the biggest 40mm drop. Just need some spacers on the rears now. You had the geometry checked since lowered?

Rob,

The standard set up on the Rev3 is much firmer than on the old car. My Rev1 tended to roll more and applying more lock mid turn was always hard work, because of the lack of PAS, but let's not go there again.

The Rev3 behaves in a completely different manner, although I've only done about 15 miles since getting the springs on so I can't give you full and accurate feedback.

Firstly, with the old springs in the steering wheel was offset and the car pulled slightly to the left. With the Tein springs on the steering wheel is dead straight and the car drives in an arrow straight line.

Secondly, the ride is firmer but it's not as harsh as I thought it would be. To be fair the roads round where I live and work are pretty good but no doubt it would feel uncomfortable around the back streets of London.

Lastly, the car looks so good that I'm prepared to put up with the firm ride!

I'm away this weekend so sadly no can do. Generally Saturdays are better for me as Sundays tend to be family days.

Cheers mate. I took your advice and went for the Tein springs. Rogue delivered the springs within 24 hours and job done. The car feels firmer but drives arrow straight, so I guess the geometry is ok.

Rowan,

I'm glad my MR2 is not a T-Bar. I would hate to imagine how bad they must flex when the suspension is as stiff as mine.

I'm spending this weekend with family, but we should meet up soon.

T-Bars and convertibles are ok for posing but you need a tin top for real driving. As great as it was, I sold my S2000 last year because, silly engine aside, I couldn't live with the soft top. With hindsight I should have bought the GT version, avec hard top.

Cool, would be good to meet up, I'm going to look into the Ace Cafe Jap night thing.

Close, but no cigar.

The Nankangs are on the front whilst some equally pants tyres are fitted to the back wheels.

Rest assured they will all be replaced with decent rubber just as soon as these wear out.
