Is this unreasonable?

Post by will »

Hi, I am selling my 1992 Mk2 rev2 G-Limited T-Bar Import. Can someone checkout my liknk to pistonheads and let me know if you think £2500 is unreasonable. I'm not 100% sure on what she's worth but I took her around some garages and they say I could get that for her. I am open to offers. Thanks

It depends on the mileage and the service history. If its low mileage and is spotless with loads of history and receipts then you may just get that. I have noticed the price has really dropped with mr2's over the past 6 months, hopefully with summer around the corner the prices will get back to what they should be. Nice car by the way :D

Thanks :D She is absolutly spotless. She has some service history and lots of reciepts but as I'm an engineer I now do a lot of the servicing myself. Sadly she has just come up to 110k miles as shes the only car I have and I've been having to do a 90 mile a day commute in her. I've been reluctant to get rid of her as shes such a comfortable (and fun!) car to drive. I've also been to Aberdeen and back a couple of times but she has never ever let me down. The car is immaculate inside and out, not a mark on her.

Hi there,

I was looking for mine for a long time, and in the end it set me back £1600 - 1991 Rev1 G-LTD ( I do appreciate yours is a Rev 2 though ), virtually immaculate, and only 60k on the clock.

I think £2500 may be a little high, but you never know, it's worth what someone will pay for it.

Good luck :)

agreed, my brother recently got a rev2 na tbar for 1500 and sold it on for 1600 after a couple of months because he needed a bigger car. for 2.5k people will generally be looking for a decent rev3 na tbar with equivalent mileage or a similar spec rev2 tbar turbo

I paid £2900 for mine but that was 3 years ago when the prices were a bit higher than they are now and also got mine from a dealer. I rekon if I sold now I would get around £2000 tops, mines a rev 2 and done 104k with loads of history. Im just about to spend a small fortune on suspension repairs and possibly a new exhaust so Im going to keep hold of her for a while yet. :D
