I think for this run, we're looking at keeping it MR2 only.

The same has been discussed for the main guildford meet, otherwise, we're turning into just any car meet, which this isn't. Its an MR2 meet. :D

Ant,

Sorry but the midnight run is for MR2s only. He is welcome to come along and then be a passenger for the drive. The meeting point does have parking where vehicles can be left during the run if people are cadging a lift.

Otherwise, he is welcome to come along to the Guildford meet as you have kindly let us know in advance.

The Guildford meet is solely for MR2s but people are more then welcome to let the odd person along in a non-MR2 provided they are "sound" and not going to drive like a total (ock.

Thats how Monkeymax got into the MK1 scene, he came along in a Rover to see the cars and to get an idea about them. So we are not adverse to people turning up, provided we know and they not going to be an idiot - which has happened before.

Obviously there has been a general exception for Chris in his Celica, but since he helps organise the Guildford meet, we kinda have too.

June meet dates will be posted shortly.

 :thumleft: You remember! :) Nice to see my Mum's Rover made such a stong impression on you... LOL... At least it has a Jap engine (Honda) and wasn't so bad as if I'd shown up in my Peugeot... (already done that one on a track day... )

However, I arrived at the start point, got a few passenger rides along the run and then once we'd had lunch at the pub, got a lift back to the car. Was a great day...!

Do we? ;) Think we should force him to buy another Mk1 as a spare until he sorts out his current one... At least it'll be using less fuel! :)

Any idea what time we're meeting and where?

Edit: Oh, and time to start the weather watch... Looks like it'll be cloudy with poor visibility. ](*,)

*MEETING POINT*

Bramley Village Hall from 23.30 onwards, to leave at 00.00

Address: Village Hall, Hall Road, Bramley, GU5 0AX

Map link: http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x ... search.srf

3 miles south of Guildford on the A281 - parking available.

Warning - we have noisy cars and this is a peaceful village, lets arrive nice and sensibly and leave nice and sensibly. Once we are out of the village we can let loose with the dump valves and exhaust etc, however it is late at night and we do not want the police called - not that we are doing anything wrong, I just don't want the hassle - so lets all be considerate when we arrive and keep the noise to an absolute minimum.

Agreed. No excessive cool down periods. Your cars shouldn't need it if you arrive in a sensible manner.

If anyone wants to meet at Pease Pottage or one of the Horsham area services let me know.

My plan will be to go from Uckfield across the A272 - hopefully meeting up with Rhamps on the way in Haywards Heath and then onto Horsham/Broadbridge Heath to meet RedMK1. So happy to meet at the shell garage at A24/A281 interchange if you want Ant?

See the psots above - may have to change meeting place as going to help sort out Redmk1's car so he come on the meet. Will find out what time we going to get done and arrange somethign with you. Could meet at somewhere like the buckbarn crossroads or at the Shaell station in Horsham/A24/A281 interchange.
