Please help - squeak driving me crazy

Post by Rob »

Its not related to the engine - it sounds like a rotating part in that it speeds up with errrrr speed! Sounds like tweety pie chirping and ITS DOING MY HEAD whilst ruining the sound of my 'Goose :(

Things I can think of.....

1/ Wheel bearings

Thats it - any other ideas???

Check your wheel nuts are tight enough also. They sometimes squeal if they are loose especially noticable when cornering. Happened on my old car when a dumb mechanic forgot to tighten them after I had the wheels balanced!

Nah its always been there Dave - the noise from the weights being shaped is gone.

It only bothers me in the summer with windows down. Sounds like an old pram!
